DEPOT 小倉庫 — Restaurant in Taichung

Nice atmosphere, menu looks great, but the food was disappointing. There's no point preparing food fresh in a slow manner if the ingredients used lack quality. This felt like standard breakfast shop food made slowly in a trendy cafe setting.

Atmosphere: 3.5 stars. This place has trendy furnishings and mood lighting - very hip with oversized incandescent bulbs - and rough hewn timber facade on one wall.

Food and service: 3 stars. Given the 30 minute wait and upmarket prices (and the note in the menu about "Please excuse the wait while we make everything fresh"), I expected the food to use better ingredients, such as natural tasting sausages and fresh ham.

Instead, the "German sausage" and bacon tasted the same as highly processed low budget supermarket goods - just like Black Ridge, Proctor or similar. Not authentic German sausage style. The "cheese" and "ham" were also highly processed. The ham was in fact too dry and unpleasant eat. The pocket bread filled with processed cheese and dry unpalatable "ham" was very dry and did not taste like it was wholly prepared fresh. Just toasted fresh.

The latte I had was 6/10. Milk froth was not velvety. Coffee flavour was just OK, yet the price was at a good coffee...

I was going to rate 4 stats... Until I ate my pancakes. The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful, the food is delicious, but the wait for your order is painfully long (40 minutes for the brunch order, at 10 am) Perfect location for a date or a slow morning (with plenty of time to spare), but not recommend for a quick stop for food. Look forward to...

台中深耕多年的寶藏早午餐店，主打鹹派早午餐，進到店內就覺得摁摁，是老店的感覺ＸＤ（看得出來有些裝潢跟物件都有年代感），用餐的時候發現其他桌的客人年齡都是五十歲以上的長輩，真的驚呆，難道是深受附近居民的喜愛嗎！？一二樓都有位置，座位數量也算是多的，出餐速度也挺快。菜單選項沒有到很多，不過應該都是老闆的拿手菜。

來用餐後的第一個直覺就是份量也太大了吧！看網路的照片以為不多，基本上這兩個女生吃都可以＝＝！！而這次點了炙燒明太子鮮蝦，明太子的味道沒有很明顯，但裡面白醬乳酪的口感很濃郁濕潤，配上乾乾的塔皮應該算是互補，蕈菇濃湯很好喝，跟軟法一起吃有飽足感，旁邊點綴的一坨馬鈴薯泥、調味特別的味噌杏鮑菇還有軟嫩的太陽蛋，都很加分。

這兩個早餐盤就差在主食而已，帶皮雞胸的給的也很多塊，是健身朋或是飲控朋可以點的～總之結論，這間早餐盤真有水準呀。

這次的用餐體驗真的挺不錯，價格直接反映在餐點上，雖然價位不便宜但誠意十足，推推大家不太想排隊的話，可以來這間算是隱藏版的早午餐，因為沒有很多人（可能沒有做行銷的關係），小堂果這次吃完都想要二訪試試看其他品項嚕～ 💎 美味程度 4.5/5 CP 4.5/5 回訪 4/5 📍 地址：台中市西區大忠南街86巷26號
