The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in Taichung was a rewarding stop during my trip. The building is large and modern, with generous open spaces and natural light that make it easy to navigate and pleasant to explore. One of the highlights was the Liao Shiou Ping retrospective exhibition, which offered an insightful journey through the works of one of Taiwan’s most influential modern artists. The curation was clean and balanced, with vibrant prints and mixed media pieces that showed the range and depth of his work. It was genuinely interesting and gave context to how Taiwanese contemporary art evolved through global influences. Outside, the sculpture park wraps around the museum in a wide green space, dotted with installations and contemporary pieces. Though not particularly dense, it adds a leisurely dimension to the visit and makes the whole experience feel more relaxed and open. The museum is free to enter and not overly crowded, which made it easy to take my time. It may not have the blockbuster feel of major international galleries, but it holds its own with thoughtful exhibitions and a calm, well-designed setting. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Taichung and enjoy...

The traditional food “Tuong Zai Mi Gao” is made from stirring glutinous rice with gravy. Get a container with dry braised pork, mushroom, quail egg with glutinous rice. Steam it and put the braised pork. The top is the sauce with handmade. The steam Ztou Yuan is bottom on powder syrup and middle on meat ball. The last step is covering with powder syrup again. It always see it in the South of Taiwan. The National Taiwan Museum is on the WuChuan West Rd. in TaiChung. It always sets up for the first National Are Exhibition and other exhibitions. The JuenAn Gong is praying for Three Fu WangYeh,who are Zti,Ziu and Li WangYeh. It’s also famous for Thousands of Taiwan Zelkova,Thousands of Durm and Thousands of Autumn Maple Tree. The LiouJiao Dieng is for the located on FuDer ZtengShen, named TuDi Gong. The small bench is feel...

I traveled to Taichung to see more art and enjoy it without the rush, the pressure, the crowd — and this is one of those that delivered exactly the experience I had in mind, and even went beyond. The staff was super helpful, trying to speak English to guide me. One shifu helped me take my photos. The ticket, when I asked where to get, they said it’s free admission — wow! And they had an exhibition of Art in Our Time, which was mixed medium and you can see how it’s more speaking towards the youth now. I loved how it bravely tackled such issues like marriage brokers for Taiwanese men towards vietnamese women too. Art should be liberated, art should be free, art should have a right to speak and be. Today that’s what this museum experience reminded me of — a huge thank you for maintaining such a beautiful space to inspire and to create.

Visitors can explore a variety of exhibitions featuring works by local artists, spanning mediums such as paintings, sculptures, and mixed media installations. The museum’s commitment to cultural exchange is evident through its biennial exhibitions, including the Asian Art Biennial and the Taiwan Biennial, which foster international artistic dialogues. Admission to NTMoFA is free, making it an accessible cultural experience for all. The museum’s architecture is notable for its integration of natural stone exteriors and large glass windows, allowing natural light to enhance the exhibition spaces. Inside, amenities such as a library, an audio-visual art hall, and a children’s picture book area cater to a wide range of visitors.
