明森宇治抹茶存中創始店 — Restaurant in Taichung

Disclaimer: the one that I went was located in HONHUI PLAZA (No. 3號, Section 4, New Taipei Blvd, Xinzhuang District, New Taipei City, 24250) Okay so I found the texture of the pancakes was bouncy and not excessively sweet. The only sweet topping to lighten this dessert is red beans. To sum up, this is the dessert that I would certainly recommend pple to order to ease the matcha desire without intaking too much calories.

Chicken nuggets tasted a tad soggy but seasoning was gd. I was kinda amazed by the raw egg yolk as a pretty presentation. They use it to moisturize the whole bowl of rice as a sauce as well.

Chawanmushi tasted beyond mediocre although the ingredients inside aren’t abundant.

We also ordered Ramen with Soba noodles type. The seasoning wasn’t excessively heavy. Quite acceptable.

Overall, food is good but price is still a tad overpriced, esp set meals. Thus i would suggest to order some matcha dessert instead of set meals if u hv a chance to visit, you...

Nice vibes of the entrance. Highly recommend matcha crispy roll, outside with crunchy pastry, matcha filling is fine can be more richer. But overall it’s very nice to try.

Hojicha ice cream is a bit sweet for us. I like brown rice ice cream, especially with brown rice topping. Btw, if you added to their LINE friend you will have a Hojicha ice...

5 stars for the entrance as it gives a vibe of beautiful Japanese garden, but 1 star for the weird concept of closing hour. It is said they close at 9pm and I arrived at 825pm but most of the dishes on the menu were not available for ordering anymore including ice-cream. Does closing hour supposedly mean no order right at that hour?...
