Fleet Street — Restaurant in Taichung

Nice cafe that serves a good latte and simple toast/egg breakfast. Latte foam had a natural sweetness in the foam which is my marker of "they know what they're doing"

Toast was thick and hearty and served with homemade mango jam. Only thing I have to say is the jam quantity was small compared to the toast but they were nice enough to give me more when I asked ^^

You order first then head to find a seat. They request you bring your dishes back to the counter...

Did not like the experience from the staff at all. Was constantly on my back and the other customers's back to remind them to keep quiet even though we were the only 2 groups there.

even though there's good wifi and sockets for working around. the staff reminded me that there's a min spend to continue staying on, but there's nothing of that sort written anywhere. Plus the cafe is practically empty.

Very petty...

Not much options when it comes to food, but I felt that this is your place for a caffeine fix and slow down for some reading, studying, maybe working. They have small shop of Taiwanese translated books and local authors as well. With independent magazine that you can buy.

A plus as they play The Nationals! I mean, talk...
