Samurai Yakiniku — Restaurant in Taichung

The best Yakiniku I ever have in Taichung city.

We tried the Omakase menu of the restaurant, which is the most signature style of this restaurant. And all the beef selection are well selected. You will feel full after the whole set is over. The price is 3600NTD per person plus 10% service fee. You can ask to serve in the room instead of bar table for advance booking but that’s not guaranteed.

There are few points which I think is worth for the price. The server will cook all the meat for you and tell you the part of the beef and how to taste it in the best way. This part is exceptionally important as all the beef only with one pieces per person if you don’t know the best time of cooking, the meat may overcook or undercook. Also, you can enjoy the meal with your friend instead of busy cooking.

All the beef are well cut. I think the butcher of the shop is experienced as all the part of the beef are well cut and trimmed all the little facisca which may affect the texture of the beef. You can use chopsticks for the steak instead of knife and fork. The beef are soft and taste real good.

You can try lots of part of the beef with the chef selections. The meal served the beef in low seasoning at the beginning and the for rich tasting beef for the last feel dished. It’s an interesting experience if you like to try different part of the beef.

For the whole set, suriyaki is the best player. The egg can be eaten in raw. The rich favor of the egg yolk mixed with the beef is stunning.

All the food staring from appetizers to dessert are great. Just for the broth served with bonito, the favor of bonito is too strong for me. The server advised next time can tell them at the beginning so that they can switch to...

Visited in Taichung and was completely blown away by both the food and the service. The wagyu was top-notch—beautiful marbling, tender, and grilled perfectly to bring out its natural richness. Every cut was thoughtfully presented, and the little golden cows used for labeling were such a cute touch!

What truly made the experience stand out was the impeccable service. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, surprising us with generous side dishes and even a personalized milk foam green tea printed with my photo—such a delightful and unexpected touch!
