We stayed at the Hung's mansion for about a week in January. We first had one of the studios, and then moved to an Executive suite. The suite, though is bigger but only have a single sink in the bath room which is the minus,||Overall the rooms were clean. However, design is dated. The couches are uncomfortable to relax in unless you plan to sit up right all the time. The worse thing about room is the desk and chair. The chair has heavy leg and unmovable and height is unadjustable. To move you would have to lift it up. If you plan to spend some time on your laptop at the desk, either of work or just to plan for your trip, do take this into account. You can easily see this from the photos from official photos or customer provided photos.||At the lobby, they provide free coffee and snack in the afternoon. However, they do not have paper cup to take coffee away. When I asked they said we can take the coffee cup back to our room. The snacks are basically 2-3 kinds of cookies. We visited once, didn't take anything because we didn't feel like sitting down for hot coffee and 2-3 cookies.||The front desks stuffs were curious but kind of cold comparable to the stuffs we met at Holidays Inn and Marriott where we also stayed during the 1 month trip in Taichung. It became very obvious when during the stay my wife found that her Covid test turned positive one morning, She had mild symptoms that morning and that's why she tested. When I told the cleaning staff not to come in for cleaning that day, they immediately reported to the management, and within minutes, we got calls after calls from the front desk, and they reported to the Health Department. And within 2 hours my wife was forced to leave the hotel in a taxi used to transport Covid patience. After the new year, the government has relaxed many measures and we could not even find a place over the phone to take a PCR TEST. The Health department never contacted us after the initial call to tell us where my wife could go. I remained in the hotel for the next 2 days because I was tested negative the whole time. But they have refused all house keeping services as a condition for me to stay.||They were no policy given while we checked in. Basically we were being good citizen but was treated in a very unfriendly way. Throughout the stay, I have seen foreign in the lobby not wearing masks but they were never approached about the mandate then of mask wearing. But when it comes to our case, they just wanted my wife out asap. I don't blame them for doing this, but they did not have a clear policy and I am pretty sure many who contracted Covid had stayed at the hotel at the time. Because if my wife hasn't tested, they would have no positive result despited the mild cough.||The hotel is close to the 2 big department stores and eateries, which was one of the reason we decided to try staying for a week. But it's by no mean a short walk to Mitsukoshi or Far eastern. Ordering from Uber-eats could be inconvenience too because of the long walk to the front entrance. At the end of the day, Marriott or Holidays Inn FenJia were just as convenience .||The prices for the hotel is all over the place. In December when we booked the first half of our stay, I got to a site through their official website where I could choose rooms without breakfast, and they were very competitive. However when we decided to extend our stay for a few more days after Jan 1, the booking site forwarded from the official website has changed. Now the prices have increased a lot compare to Agoda, Expedia, etc. And there were no longer any options to book room without breakfast. I eventually found the old link and yes the rooms without breakfast were still there. So, booking for rooms is kind of a challenge because prices from sites to sites could be...

Read moreWe’ve stayed in this hotel a few times already and figured it was decent value for the money giving the great location, spacious rooms for the price and decent service. However this time it was absolutely unacceptable and we can’t recommend to anyone, especially with kids, to stay at this hotel due to a complete lack of empathy, professionalism and service!
First thing when we arrived and asked if standard things are provided in the room: so far we were always provided tooth brush etc. and haven’t been notified of any change so we assumed it’s the same. There was a change and that’s not part anymore however you can ask for it once at the reception. We understand the change and it would have been easy to explain it to us, how ever the lady at the reception chose to ask us in a disrespectful tone after we’ve asked if they can provide it as we need it “you didn’t bring those things?”. What a question if someone already asked for it. Then when we’ve arrived with our two small kids in the room and 5 minutes later , we didn’t even had the chance to check the whole room or to make ourselves comfortable, the reception called us that another guest complained about us being too loud. I repeat : we didn’t even had the chance to walk around in the room or the kids to play etc. we just arrived ! So that was pretty bad. Last but not least, when we went to bed one of our kids cried for a while and couldn’t sleep in. The staff first called , then knocked on the door when we finally managed to get her to sleep in and woke her up; just to tell us again that other guests complained! Again the attitude was completely unacceptable and unreasonable.
We just stayed one night and won’t come back. We were very disappointed and the service was unacceptable for a hotel for this price. Can’t recommend it and especially for families I would strongly advice to not waste your time, money and...
