矮仔成蝦仁飯 — Restaurant in Tainan

We came here around 5 PM on a public holiday, and luckily, there wasn’t a line—probably because it was still a bit early for dinner. The restaurant actually has a few shops next to each other, which shows how high the demand must get during peak hours.

The shrimp was fresh and delicious, and the sauce on the rice elevated the flavors to another level. However, the portion of shrimp was a bit on the smaller side, so I’d recommend ordering an extra portion if you’re a shrimp lover.

Very fragrant bowl of shrimp rice. The little light sauce on the rice makes you salivate just smelling it. We also had a plate of plain lightly fried kangkong which is also very crunchy and nice. Both the duck eggs soup and clam soup are extremely delicious. I did find the duck eggs soup a tat salty but my Taiwanese friends like it that way. The clam soup was the best I've had so far. Walking down the street, I was pleasantly surprised at the setting of the shop. Nice and clean. Air conditioned shop. Simply make your choices on the menu, pay for the food at the cashier and head back to your table to await to be served. The star was to be the shrimp rice. I do say it was really fragrant.
