Hello viewers,
🍤🍚 "Taking someone special on a culinary tour of Tainan's west side, I introduced her to a local favorite – 蝦仁飯 (Shrimp over Rice). We headed to 集品蝦仁飯 to dive into this popular dish.
Let's dissect the meal: I ordered shrimp over rice and duck egg miso soup. True to Tainan style, the dish was a sweet and savory rollercoaster. It left me in a delicious dilemma – is this a dessert disguised as a main course? 🤔🍰 Either way, as a Tainan native, I couldn't help but love it. The shrimp, though, were a marvel – so tiny they seemed to enter a quantum realm upon cooking. 🦐🔬
Now, the dining experience. Picture a traditional Taiwanese restaurant – it's all about self-service and cozy (read: crowded) spaces. It's the kind of place where lingering isn't an option unless you fancy playing musical chairs with the person behind you. 🪑🎶
集品蝦仁飯 isn't the only spot for shrimp over rice in town, but it's worth a try – at least once in your lifetime. But seriously, just once. It's like a 'been there, done that' checkbox on your Tainan foodie list. ✔️👀
So, if you're ever in Tainan and feeling adventurous, give 集品蝦仁飯 a go. Just brace yourself for the sweet, the savory, and the nano-shrimp experience! #TainanTreats #ShrimpRiceAdventure...

When I arrived around lunchtime, the place was buzzing. Many people were dining in, while others were quickly taking away their orders. The shop is never short of customers—always bustling with people.
Seating is available both inside and outside. The “inside” area is more like a semi-outdoor space without air conditioning, while the outdoor area has large fans to keep things cooler. It’s simple but comfortable enough for a quick meal. 🪭
I ordered the regular shrimp rice (NTD 75). You can also upgrade the portion for NTD 90, or add an egg for the same price. I paired it with a fish soup that cost NTD 40.
At first, I thought the shrimp would be cooked in a special way, but it turned out they were simply fried. Still, the portion was decent. What really stood out was the rice. Unlike plain white rice, it’s cooked like fried rice with extra flavor. The texture was slightly soft and a bit watery, but it tasted well. 🍚🦐
Overall, it was delicious! No wonder the shop is never short of customers. Definitely worth trying if you’re...
