The most bored thing I ever had when I traveled in Tainan. I have to wait 1 hour just for seat! And wait another 30-45 minutes for the food. They seperate the line with dine in and take away. If you dont have time, I suggest you to take away. Because you will get the food faster. They cook not based on the line. But based on 1 particular food with a really big portion(10-20 portions). So if you order 3 different food, you havr to wait 3 times of cooking which is terrible. You already finish the first dish, than wait about 15 minutes until they cook another dish to other people. The ingredients are humble, but they have been doing this for over 40 years they have perfected the formula. The eel meat was firm and flavourful. The thick stew has a strong umani base with a dash of vinegar to counter balance the eel. The onions are slightly on the rare side so the freshness and crispiness contrast with the gooeyness of the soup. Read moreI guess I will never become a person willing to wait for hours for something that is available in a similar way and quality elsewhere without waiting. I had fried eel noodles which ended up being boiled-in-a-wok eel noodles. It was OK, but at least in my opinion it's not “drive 60km to another city and queue for an hour even though it's 3pm" good. There were only two tables inside but not occupied (probably a space issue) and four tables outside, so you don't need too many people to make you wait a long time.
