apt.DouZ — Restaurant in Tainan

The best cafe brunch and best place to stay in Tainan! Apt.DouZ is a 2 in 1 combination of cafe and bnb stay located in the central area of Tainan. I love that they have this cafe that’s opened for the public on the 1st floor, and also two rooms on the 2nd floor for accommodation too! We stayed here for 1 night and it was such a neat little stay to experience because their building and rooms are actually renovated from traditional old taiwanese houses with modern twists and aesthetic designs, so you can feel the amazing fusion clash of both designs! The room was super comfy, and it was a perfect 2 people room in a convenient location to explore Tainan.

Definitely recommend coming here for brunch or a cup of coffee! It’s such a relaxing urban oasis with such an interesting variety of fusion cuisines they offer, and relaxing plant filled interior. We got their Moroccan stew that had amazing layers of flavors, served with house salad and bread on the side. As well the meatball subs sandwiches were also super filling and tasty too. I visited this quiet inn on the 2nd January in search for a nice brunch place. And it IS very nice. I believe the owners had achieved 100% of their vision of this space. Everything is placed with care and thought, nothing is an accident in this place. There's no inconsistency in the choice of furniture, tiles, cutlery, wall art, anything. They even got a bar chair which is such a close clone to the other two, no clue how they did it. I went for brunch so this 5-star rating wouldn't complete with food being disappointing.
