The interior of the building is decorated nicely enough. But I thought that there would be more thematic difference between the floors.
Either way you can only choose to sit one one floor.
I ordered an iced honey tea, but didn’t get even a hint of honey. The tea was okay, but over priced compared to other places.
My wife ordered a latte. The coffee flavour was a little bitter and over powered the milk flavour.
We also ordered ice cream which was $190 for two scoops. The ice cream was ordinary and not really worth the price.
Apparently this place is a tourist attraction. The only really unique thing is the size of the building.
There isn’t much to attract you if you are only eating here you can’t eat at all the floors at once.

Read moreWhat an architectural marvel! This building is built around a nested set of staircases that represents the architects feeling as he strolls through the streets of Tainan. Some of these stairs leads to nowhere, some of them dead end, some of them require you to climb through holes, etc. The way he play with lights and spaces is pretty amazing! If your architectural buff, you definitely don't want to miss this.
Moreover, you can enjoy delicious desserts on the other half of the building. You can choose to sit indoor, semi outdoor, or surround yourself with greenery while enjoying ice cream. It's not a very popular or a well-known place, but it's rather unique and should...
Read moreThere’s a 250 NTD ticket fee to enter the stairs area including a guided tour. Our tour guide was very friendly and attentive. However, I wouldn’t recommend this to folks visiting from other countries. The stairs were designed by a modern-day Japanese architect being inspired by the alleys in Tainan. So basically what you’ll see is how the architect perceives and interprets Tainan. Plus, his personal style is kind of overpowering. I’d say renting a motor bike and riding it through the alleys in Tainan would be a much more immersive experience. But if you’re interested in the architect Sou Fujimoto and his work, the stairs might...
