COSBY-SALOON — Restaurant in Tainan

After 10 days of Asian food, we needed some Western fare. The Cosby, near our accommodation, was a perfect choice. It's very quaint, and the pictures and dedications on the walls speak to a long tradition. The clientele consists partly of locals and partly of tourists and Western businesspeople. For food, they opted for classic pub fare; we chose two burgers. Both were large and tasty, the buns toasted, with fries and a couple of chicken nuggets. Great food, service and a chef that cooks like heaven. Not a cook. A chef. The chicken pasta is so good. The burgers are outstanding. All food options for dinner are awesome and generous!

The ladies running the bar and floor are friendly and polite. I'm so glad this place is still open. Condolences to the family for the loss of the original order.

Actually wanna give 2.5 rather than 3. As a person lives abroad for awhile, the restaurant was ok or so la la to a bit point. But as you know, it’s Asia. So I’ll say if you happen to miss the taste in your western country. You may give a try, but remember, it’s a “kind of” western restaurant in Asia with sort of some local “taste”. But it’s ok.
