As an American, from the birthplace of the hamburger, to tell you to buy a burger from a place in Taipei called "Bits of Europe" feels a "bit" incongruous, but that's what I'm doing. We saw the pictures of the burger here and thought they looked pretty good, so we gave them a try. The burgers were even better than the pictures! You CAN ask for a medium rare cook on your burger here and they will nail it! (As with many restaurants, they will express a little hesitation to cook it less than medium and give some disclaimers.) I think they express the cook on beef here in terms of a percentage. I think 50% is medium, so medium rare is 30% or something. In the end they gave us a really tasty -- and a bit bloody -- cook on our burgers at 30%. We got the classic cheeseburger and the BBQ burger and both were quite filling. Their fries were good as well.
