First off, how to find this gem. From the Starbucks in Eslite, walk north on Kunming street. At the end of the Eslite building you'll see an indoor parking garage, just past that there is an alley on the right. Walk in and it is like the 2nd restaurant.
This place only serves Xiao Long Bao, hot and sour soup, corn soup and a couple of drinks.
This is the type of place I've been searching for the year I've been in Taipei. A great XLB place that is affordable. These XLB have very thin skin but it still manages to hold together so it won't break when picked up. The size is larger than Ding Tai Fung and much cheaper at $95 for 7. These dumplings are made to order. Hand wrapped and immediately steamed upon ordering. The pork meat filling is looser than most but not in a bad way.
Corn soup is pretty good. Thick (not watery), plenty of corn and tiny bits of ham.
This place deserves to be on any foodie's Xiao long bao...

Would highly recommend the 小笼包, each plate comes with 7 large 小笼包 with lots of 汤汁, juicy, tender meat fillings. It’s one of the best value and tasting 小笼包 we’ve eaten during our trip to Taiwan. I’d say skip the set with the soup and just go for the 小笼包. If you love your 小笼包 and are in the Ximending area, definitely recommend you check them out.
Queue: Went at 11+am and there was already a long snaking queue in front of us. Didn’t expect to wait up to an hour before getting a table and having our food served as the place is a little cramp with only a few tables open for dine-in. That said, this place is well worth waiting for their 小笼包.
Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service:...
Read moreSome of the reviews here mentioned it’s comparable to DTF so I came here to try it. I’ve tasted xlb at DTF main branch vs this. The skin and taste itself totally not comparable. The skin is too soft and when u bite it breaks easily. Also, the taste of the fillings inside doesn’t have the Unami, but dtf has it. Good thing is, it at least has more juice than DTF and served hot immediately. DTF xlb doesn’t taste hot but served just warm.
Came in the morning 11am+ the queue is damn long n waiting time approx 1h so we gave up. It reopens 5pm, so we came here again 4.45pm, the queue is quite short, so save your time come in the evening instead. Don’t expect DTF standard here. But given the price, it’s cheaper for this standard already...
