As a fellow traditional dessert/sweet soup lover I'm always down to try out any traditional looking food places in Taiwan (they have the best food, rule of thumb). This one does not disappoint. I visited this place a while ago and I think about it a lot... They have way too many options so I will not tell you what to get. Just try them out and find your fav. The mochi with peanut powder is a staple. I also always go for something that comes with the red and white mini glutinous rice balls (no filling).

Some westerners are not used to beans in desserts but I'd say if you don't give it a go, you'll be missing out 60% of the Asian desserts....

The price was reasonable too… the store has been open for 70 years and it’s worth trying

I would give it more than 5 stars if it’s possible. Mochi is certainly the taste I had when I was a kid, it has all of the advantages that a perfect mochi should have. Which is also worth to mention is the ice green bean soup they offered, no trick inside, but decent ingredients make it so remarkable!!!
