Monga Dizang Temple — Attraction in Wanhua District

Bangka Dizang Temple worships God of Land, and it is really a temple with long history, because it was built in 1760 and rebuilt in 1838, although the Temple was not properly managed for its external worship ground.

The Temple was designated by Taiwan Government as the Class 3 Cultural and Historical Establishment, and, thus, it cannot be rebuilt or renovated without government prior approval.

When I visited the Temple on 12/23/2020, it was a pouring raining day, and Temple was so quiet and I was probably the only visitor or worshipper that moment. It was a weird feeling, because Bangka Dizang Temple is on the corner of Longshan [Dragon Mountain] Temple or within 1 minute of walking distance.

Like other temples of the Land God, the Temple also worships Tiger Master who was well respected and loved by businessmen. One the day of my visit, I did see a few worship incenses to worship Tiger Master. Probably, business vendors do worship...
