Monka Hotel — Hotel in Taipei

A very small boutique hotel with just 9 rooms in total. From outside the hotel looks aesthetically very minimalist and beautiful.||Even the hotel life is very small and maximum can hold only 2 persons inside. Or you can use their Instagrammable steps to upstair.||From my room you could get a beautiful view of Longshan Temple that just situated beside. Even though the temple is very busy among the locals and tourists, you won’t hear the noise from the room.||The open kitchen is located at the top floor of the hotel and you could use it to have your food. It was our last stop of our trip after Cambodia and Vietnam. |We read already that the rooms and elevator were very small, which is true but also that it was very new and all nice facilities, which was also true. Very good located next to MRT and Longshan temple that has couple of free tours starting from there. In the end, very cosy hotel.|What really changed our short stay in Taipei was Scott, the only staff person we met in this hotel which actually was on top of everything and he was super helpful: arranging tour in the city, recommending amazing restaurants, keeping safe our stuff after check out, etc. Always with a smile on the face, we really appreciated his personality! Conveniently located next to Longshan Temple itself, Monka is centrally located in the historical Wenhua District. It is an inconspicuous building that you might miss if you weren't looking for it, but it's clearly newer than most other hotel establishments in the area. The lift was cramped and could only fit one person. As I stayed on the second floor, I allowed my luggage to take the lift while I took the spiral staircase.||The room was small but not unlivable, and the toilet was very clean.
