Dog Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Wanhua District

I don't understand how this restaurant is receiving so many high reviews based on our experience. The quality of the food was extremely poor with us unable to finish our chicken or beef dishes (I hate waste but it was just that bad). We noticed after ordering that the california rolls are all preprepared with just the coating added afterwards. Having lived in Taiwan for almost 14 years I'd say that this might be the worst meal that I've had during that time.

The service was pretty poor but I'm not surprised given the rubbish that they are serving. I'd rather blame the owners rather than the staff.

This was the FIRST restaurant we went into immediately after we arrived in Taiwan. We were exhausted bc of the summer heat and the jetlag so we were seeking a pleasant experience here. But the waitress was kinda mean (yes THE WAITRESS, the one with ugly mid bangs). She waited on us like she wasn't interested. She acted like she was MAD at us. She served us food but it was incomplete (no wassabi, ni kikkoman, etc.) then when reminded, she acts like it's our fault. She didn't even greet us when we arrived and left. A very busy restaurant. Unfortunately staff attitude sucks. I was at the restaurant when there was a free table. In the 10 seconds that I was waiting for my friend to cross the road, they gave the table away to someone on the phone. I was then told to wait a further 10 minutes if we wanted to wait for the next available table. We hang around for 10 minutes watching 2 empty tables with no customers arriving. We then enquired again and the waitress said that I was told to wait 40 minutes not 10 looking very annoyed. Walked away after that.
