I don't understand how this restaurant is receiving so many high reviews based on our experience. The quality of the food was extremely poor with us unable to finish our chicken or beef dishes (I hate waste but it was just that bad). We noticed after ordering that the california rolls are all preprepared with just the coating added afterwards. Having lived in Taiwan for almost 14 years I'd say that this might be the worst meal that I've had during that time.

The service was pretty poor but I'm not surprised given the rubbish that they are serving. I'd rather blame the owners rather than the staff.

Anyway, if you see this review then please check the other low reviews and decide whether the low reviews match with the extremely high reviews. Don't say you...

This was the FIRST restaurant we went into immediately after we arrived in Taiwan. We were exhausted bc of the summer heat and the jetlag so we were seeking a pleasant experience here. But the waitress was kinda mean (yes THE WAITRESS, the one with ugly mid bangs). She waited on us like she wasn't interested. She acted like she was MAD at us. She served us food but it was incomplete (no wassabi, ni kikkoman, etc.) then when reminded, she acts like it's our fault. She didn't even greet us when we arrived and left. I immediately lost interest in exploring Taiwan. The whole time I was excited but thanks to this girl, it gave me the impression that maybe this place isn't really good at...

A very busy restaurant. Unfortunately staff attitude sucks. I was at the restaurant when there was a free table. In the 10 seconds that I was waiting for my friend to cross the road, they gave the table away to someone on the phone. I was then told to wait a further 10 minutes if we wanted to wait for the next available table. We hang around for 10 minutes watching 2 empty tables with no customers arriving. We then enquired again and the waitress said that I was told to wait 40 minutes not 10 looking very annoyed. Walked away after that. This is definitely a nice neighborhood japanese restaurant in Ximenting. As soon as you arrive you will be sat and I'm giving and given a QR code that will take you to the ordering interface in the restaurant website. You can order your food and drinks at anytime and they will just serve it as soon as it gets ready. It is not only the food but also the experience. If ever I'm back in Ximenting, I'll probably be back here to enjoy the food and paying an extra 10% "cleaning fee". Luckily these kind of fees aren't applied in any other industry aside from those restaurants that want to hide their increases of prices somehow. Cheers !

A nice dinner and supper spot with a wide variety of Japanese dishes, ranging from sushi, to grilled skewers and stir-fried dishes. I was there around midnight and one of the last customers. Food was ordered via their app and the menu comes with pictures and different languages, which I found quite convenient. The stir-fried vegetables was crunchy and flavorful, the sushi platter was average, but the grilled skewers were to die for. Service was a little slow for the number of customers in the restaurant. Price was quite reasonable for the quality and quantity. Overall it is a pleasant experience and I would visit again.
