LOUISA COFFEE Longshan Shop — Restaurant in Wanhua District

I ordered a cappuccino and sat down and waited. After about 10 minutes, I enquired about my coffee and was told they didn’t have any water and it would be a few minutes. Then after another 10 minutes I asked how long it would be and they said around another 10-15 minutes. They tried to offer me a free cake when the first delay occurred and alternatives after the next delay but I’d run out of time. They should have told me they didn’t have water and that there would be a delay when I first ordered (the funny thing is they have a notice stuck to the table saying you can’t stay longer than one hour). To be honest, how can a coffee shop not have sufficient water? I would have given one star but they did offer a free cake and after a long time some alternatives but I wanted a cappuccino and I’d run out of time so it...

The cafe looks very cosy from the outside. Indeed is a cosy place inside with nice air conditioning. Itcan only hold 15 pax dinning in.

The staff (boss? Not wearing apron) on the other hand is not the friendly kind. Don’t expect to be greeted like other friendly shop in Taiwan “你好欢迎光临” welcoming you as you enter the shop. Instead he was kinda of impatient as we were browsing through the menu. Told my wife to quickly pick her order. We ended with the toast that was displayed right infront of the counter. Would have ordered some nicer sandwiches.

The toast and coffee/tea were pretty average. Luckily the price is pretty decent at...

Bought an espresso, drip coffee and Americano.

The coffee was below average. The drip in particular was very disappointing: the taste was weak and adulterated by unpleasant flavours (probably from the water: Filtered water may help improve brews in the future). The espresso bean was burnt.

All round it felt like you were paying for the location (near train station) as opposed to paying for good coffee.

Service was disappointing. In order to sit in store (for 1 hour max) each person must buy something. You are also required to put away empty cups before leaving.

The atmosphere is warm and I was happy to wait out the hour...
