What ?? So many four stars reviews ??? Wondering if they paid for these reviews. This restaurant knows how to marketing 😂
I will not come back for once !!
I went to this restaurant last week because all the good reviews. What I had is totally opposite from the reviews.
1, the beef is really dry not too even mention about the tenderness. It’s really hard to chew and not a good quality of beef they choose. The size for $280 a bowl is not even enough for myself. I’m really upset about the portion of a $280 a bowl of beef noodle soup in Taipei is not even enough for one person! I don’t care if they sell $280 or even $500 for a bowl but the quality and the size definitely not qualified its price.
2, the soup itself is really salty mostly soy sauce kinda taste. The only good thing is the add the fresh green scallions into the soup. 😂
3, you won’t feel welcomed when come to this restaurant. waitress doesn’t have a good attitude towards their customers. They yelled at their customers if you are on their way due to its floor plan that doesn’t allow people to easily access. It’s their problem they didn’t make their floor plan better for access. Instead put so many tables is also inconvenience for disabilities and people with...
Read moreI'd give 4.5 stars if I could. Had the half meat half tendon soup with thick noodles. The noodles are handmade and perfect. Nice bouncy chewiness. The portion of meat and tendons is generous.
The pieces of meat however are not as tender as I expected. I like some texture to meat sometimes but I prefer tender meat with this dish. 1 tendon was a bit undercooked ( not ideally soft ).
The owner ( I guess it's the owner ) spoke great English and was very nice and helpful. She also asked me how the meal was. This is the first time so far this happened to me in a beef noodle restaurant in Taipei. I said everything was great but 1 piece of tendon was a bit hard. She took it well and told me to tell the staff next time that I want all pieces to be soft. Fair enough.
The broth is beefy and I like the balance of flavours. I added a bit of white vinegar and white pepper to my broth. Serving staff was an old lady who was very friendly.
Paid 250 NTD. Worth a visit if you're...
Read moreThe clear beef noodle soup here is absolutely delicious! The broth has a perfect balance of rich beef aroma, savory depth, and natural sweetness from the slow-braised beef. It’s incredibly smooth and easy to drink. The beef itself is generously portioned, tender yet pleasantly chewy, with just the right texture to highlight the quality of the meat.
They offer two types of noodles: thin round noodles and Taiwanese knife-cut noodles, which are short and slightly thicker. Personally, I prefer the thin noodles as they absorb the broth beautifully and have a nice bite to them.
The beef-filled rolled dough is also amazing—seems to be made with beef shank. The inside is coated with a savory-sweet soy sauce, making each bite incredibly flavorful. The combination of the chewy dough and the juicy beef creates a wonderfully satisfying texture.
The small side dishes here are also great! There’s a wide variety to choose from, and the selection changes daily, so you...
