I’ve passed by this place a few times and always wanted to try it out. So I finally went inside.

I walked in, no one said anything. Everyone looked super busy. Fine, I’ll wait a bit. It was very clear I was standing right in front of them because they were passing their ugly ass sandwiches to each other IN FRONT OF ME. I was waiting until someone hands me their menu to mark food because nowhere in sight was it seen. No one said anything for 5-7 minutes.

After standing awkwardly waiting, a man walks in and they immediately told the man “good morning”. Jeez I didn’t know I had invisibility super powers. They never even bother to greet me. So clearly, I have invisibility super powers. I left. Very clear I’m not welcomed.

By the way the ladies working behind the counter, granted they’re all busy, but sure use a lot of screaming and yelling at each other. It’s not even the most exciting...

I only had the scallion pancake with bacon and egg but it was so crispy and good. There is an English menu outside but seemingly not inside as the sheets of paper you order from were only in mandarin so have your phone and Google translate ready.

Go in, they give you a sheet and show you where to sit if you are eating in. Mark off what you want and hand to the people behind the counter. They will call you when it's ready. I paid after but locals seem to have already paid so not sure about when is the correct time to pay, as you order or after you eat? Either way it seemed fine to pay after.

I went here as I was heading to the elephant mountain trail so definitely recommend if you want some good breakfast before the hike. I wasn't sure of sizes but I could have done with 2 to feel full I think. At 55$ they are super cheap. Would like to return to try some...

Want a local experience with piping hot freshly made food, only locals rushing in and out, several incredibly fast and ferocious Taiwanese aunties yelling at you and the best sesame soy milk we had all week, this is your spot.

Understated and excellent, they crammed us—two sizable Europeans next to each other on a tiny corner table. We wanted the scallion pancakes but those were not available, we ordered two other gluten + veggie dishes instead but got one veggie and one with Tuna and pork floss.

We just rolled with it as we got steamrolled by the local grandmas. There was a constant queue of people outside grabbing a quick bite, alone as couples or with the whole family—and even some other tourists although mostly from the broader region

What a little gem and super cheap, we paid 180 (= 6euros)...

Huge varieties on their menu. The staffs are very friendly and nice! They called me “meimei” which is caring way to call younger females hahaha. The place feels very homely. The ordering menu is only in chinese but they have a english menu outside the store :) The food is amazing! Order the soy milk, cheese and vegetables egg pancake with a side order of ham and chicken bites. Was shy to ask them to add the ham into the pancake so they just served the ham separately hahahah. I love egg pancakes and after coming taiwan i realised there are two types of egg pancakes. The crispy kind and the non crispy kind. This shop serves the crispy version which is my favourite! Would totally come here to eat this again. ❤️
