Spotted people walking around with a bamboo stick at Itashao. Joined the queue and found out it's a kind of rice cake, very unique, have never seen anything like it. I tried with BBQ sauce, it has a soft pillowy texture. Interesting!

Spotted people walking around with a bamboo stick at Itashao. Joined the queue and found out it's a kind of rice cake, very unique, have never seen anything like it. I tried with BBQ sauce, it has a soft pillowy texture. Interesting!

These look really cool and are a fun one-time experience to eat but they always end up being pretty bland regardless of the topping chosen. If you like a plain roasted mochi flavor then it'll be a good choice for you, but it gets a bit one note for me after the second bite. Fun to bamboo sword fight for a minute or two after...
