i uh shared 2 photos of my favourite part of this impromptu brunch -- ya gotta follow vibes folk ♥️ says stop & linger for a moment then you jump off your youbike & obey inner true
Orchard Cafe from outside looks the perfect ground floor biz for any luxe apt building (lol why would i want a bank or any other biz to be in my building ?)
i remember seeing this building go up last time i was in tw & its placement being ten hops from an mrt exit & youbike docks -- makes it a 👍
upon expert recommendation i went with pesto 🧀🍅🐔 -- fantastic even the bun was light & toasted & isn't an overbearing carb -- chicken cooked sous-vide (?) -- flavourful & not a drop of cooking oil & juicy really great pesto (i have never met a pesto i didn't like tho -- full disclosure) cheese 🧀 light & rounds out this burger nicely -- more of a sandwich really -- on a bun reminiscent of a burger bun but is much lighter
the star attraction (as owner founded Orchard Cafe 3 years ago -- other location in Dongmen -- after a successful biz in desserts) is the eye-watering & better tasting dessert got the grapey one what i like is that the custard portion of tart is much cheesier / richer than average
& when a cafe does something as different as to feature coffee from beans locally produced as this "tears of vale" (just pushed out yesterday) then we of course have to forego the usual Colombian or Nigerian roasts
it read notes of grape (vineyard nearby?) & apricot & tea (?) -- interesting blend & staff even warms the cup to reach optimal conditions
loving attention to detail
upstairs hang is spacious & elegant (who the heck would Starbucks with Orchard near ?)
healthy brunchy eats
attentive staff
phenomenal desserts & coffee with original offerings of local beans
what's a better afternoon than one at Orchard ?
not many other one would...
Read moreFairly reasonable price coffee around $80-$120.
They seem to sell beans, filter, cold drip, and espresso coffee. I thought this shop was specialty coffee shop but based on the cappuccino I received from the staff I wasn’t so sure anymore??
This photo was taken straight after I got my coffee...look at those air bubbles🥺???? The bubbles turned even bigger later on.
First taste of the coffee was a bit bitter, later on turned okay.
They also do special deals on weekdays (so the pricing would be even cheaper). There’s also seats on 2nd floor.
I’ll give this shop a go for ice coffee if I ever...

(The Sydney Morning...
