BravoCafe draft beer bar — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

Despite the name, this underground nook is actually a wine bar and restaurant tucked away along upper Linsen Rd. Once you walk down the short flight of stairs, it opens up to a large space with warm lighting and atmosphere with tables to the left and a wine dispensing machines along the right hand wall. The wines cover a range of regions, styles, and prices. You are given a card and you serve yourself, picking one of three different pours from a taste to a full glass. The wines are stored well as each wine I tried was fresh. I stuck to red wines from France, Italy, and Spain, but there are white and rose wines as well as sparkling wine. There is a wide selection of food options from snacks to full meals like pasta or steak. I had already eaten, so I got a meat platter and a baguette to go with my wine. The service was OK, but a little sporadic in getting the attention of the staff despite there only being a few people in the restaurant. Also some of the wines were running low, so I could jot try them and didn't feel like waiting for the staff to switch out for a new bottle. The good thing is the wine selection is quite extensive. We recently visited this restaurant and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. One unique aspect we really enjoyed was the wine concept, where you can choose to pay just for a taste or get a full glass—great for trying different wines without committing to a whole glass.

I recommend this wine bistro for its excellent food, seafood, beers, and wines. The sommelier's performance is commendable. Although it's pricey and the company was paying, I would still like to bring friends here to enjoy it. Each bottle of red wine, white wine, and champagne is quite distinctive.
