Long story short.. Taste was not bad. Service was alright. Interesting theme. But I got FOOD POISONING. 🤮
I am not sure why the 4000+ review. I was there for an early dinner, and there was only one table of two when I got there. There were more people coming, but I would imagine a restaurant with 4000+ reviews would be packed. But anyway...
FOOD The taste itself was not bad. The portions were good, too. The three things I have a problem with are
SERVICE It was not the best I had, but I would say not bad. The person I spoke on the phone with got a bit irritated when I confirmed some questions with her. I did not want to look up other restaurants, so I still went. The service at the restaurant was not bad. They answered my questions patiently. It is CASH ONLY, tho.
ATMOSPHERE The restaurant is decorated with Disney/Pixar themed items. You can pick your own mug if you order a drink. They also have key chain and stuff that you can make your own with additional price. I did not experience these parts, so I will not comment more.
Overall, it was alright. The food poisoning was the main issue, which I am not sure if it was the food or the serving containers. I hope this is only an one off event, but I will not take...

Himalayan Salt on Steak Short Ribs Brunch ($468): This brunch is probably the heartiest and most stylish one I’ve ever seen, which included main dish, yogurt with cereals, chips, nuggets, toasted bread, mashed potato, a mixed salad, and 3 sauces (Red: ketchup, Green: honey mustard, and Yellow: mango sauce). The steak tastes relatively succulent even though it’s not well-done because I always eat well-done steaks. The chicken nuggets and the chips are both greatly fried and crispy and the tartar sauce is one of the tastiest. The mashed potato is covered with cheese sauce but they don’t taste great to me because I don’t like cheese sauce. I hope you can put the cheese sauce separately next time. Still, the mashed potato itself is delicious and sweet. There were some jellies inside which make the yogurt so much sweeter.
Hazelnut Black Tea (Main course: $88, a la carte: $148): You can choose a cup for your drink and there are a wide variety of styles. This is my first time drinking this and it turns out that hazelnut can also be a great way to add flavour to black tea. On top of that, there would be a tiny honey cake and some cereals on the same tray of drink.
To sum up, I did reserve in advance to avoid any waiting because today is 31st December and there are a wide variety of dolls and doll charms sold and decorated here. Nevertheless, the prices can be a little higher but the service is efficient and great. The nearest MRT exits to the restaurant are exit 2 and 3. Overall, it’s a 9.5 out of 10!
FYI, dining time limit is 2 hours, the minimum charge is a beverage or a main course and there’ll be 10% service charge...
Read moreThis place serves Western-style food and two dishes we ordered were quite good. Unfortunately, for us, there wasn't much else to be happy about this place. The red flag appeared early on at this sit-down eatery when we waited a long time for the waitress to take our order, and we ended up walking to the counter and ordered our meal. When our dishes came, we just wanted to eat and leave because this place was so noisy and we couldn't really hear each other. After we finished eating, we waited another half a hour for our waitress to come so we could ask for a box to take the leftover home. To get attention, I ended up bringing my empty bowl to the counter, which normally you wouldn't do in Taiwan. But, instead of thanking me for bringing the dirty dish over, the waitress stared at me, saying "what do you want?". She also disputed my assertion that I had to wait a long time for get service. At NT$268 a dish, our meal wasn't cheap in Taiwan. We didn't experience the service normally associated with this price level. We have been eating out three meals a day for a month and a half now in Taiwan, and been generally very happy with our dining experience. Unfortunately, TankQ really tanked the joy I have been having when it comes to dining out in Taipei....
