Xi Garden — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

Victoria Hotel Xi Garden, a Chinese restaurant that focuses on Cantonese cuisine and supplements Taiwanese, Sichuan, and Huaiyang flavours, has been a representative Chinese restaurant in the Dazhi business district since its establishment. We have our lunch at this classic and beautiful restaurant, were highly impressed very dish we orders, starting from the first plate, dried stir-fried noodles, the seasoning was just perfect and wasn’t too salty or oily compared to traditional Cantonese style noodles. The second dish was minced pork with eggplant Glay pot; it’s so hot and oily but super tasty! You would definitely want to have a bowl of rice with it! Spiced braised beef shank was the dish we wanted to get a glass of beer with; it’s a cold dish with stewed peanuts. Wonderful Chinese food in an upscale hotel. The food here is a bit on the traditional side, with a few innovative takes on some classic dishes. Overall the food tastes fantastic, service is great, and the atmosphere is good.

Prices are actually very good for a restaurant of this quality, which was a pleasant surprise. Portions are big, so I'd recommend coming here with a group of friends or for a company gathering - you'll get a wider variety of dishes that way. I particularly enjoyed the tofu with crab, stir fried string beans, and the grilled pork (served with lemon slices).

Great Chinese cuisine restaurant in Grand Victoria Hotel. There are a wide variety of food on the menu, including a number of dim sum selection. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The roast duck can be eaten in 3 ways. We had sliced duck wrapped with pancake, stir-fried duck meat served with lettuce, and taros rice vermicelli with duck bone soup. Each one of them tastes great. We five people couldn’t even finish the whole duck as we also ordered a few dishes...
