Crispy Chicken Fingers ($330): The chicken fingers dipped into the honey mustard sauce is one of the greatest foods I’ve ever had and I start to prefer this dish to Fish and Chips. The chips have always been crispy and delicious, and you can ask for Ketchup if necessary.
Cosmo’Rita (✅Non-alc: $180, alc: $190): Simply put, the drink tastes quite sweet and it feels like a punch of various sweet fruits and syrups mixed together. It’s one of the best mocktails I’ve ever tried.
You can get a $50 discount for any drink on the menu for weekday lunch. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the mall and the best and most economical way to come is via the MRT brown line and get off at Jiannan Rd station.
To top it all off, I’ve been a fan of TGI Fridays since I was a child and they have never disappointed me for once and maintained their best service and quality despite the fact that the prices are above an average meal. Overall, it’s a 10 out of 10!
FYI, the 10% service charge is included...
Read moreI've come on a weekend and a weekday and it was different experience on both days. Weekend we had Ada as our waitress and she was awesome. Quick to take our orders and was willing to socialize with us. It was one of our friend's bdays and she said if the bday boy sang louder than her, she'd add another cake for us, on the house. Let's just say, she had no idea we didn't need much alcohol to do something embarrassing for free food.
Our weekday visit was a bit the opposite. We were assigned a new guy who was waaay too nervous to be social and service was a bit slow despite the restaurant being half empty.
Both times the AC was cranked up to some sub zero temp. We saw people come and go and heard them muttering "Why is it so cold?". Imagine how some banks crank up their AC in the summer and imagine it being colder than that. Yes...no joke.
All in all, first experience was the reason why I came back the second time. However, I wouldn't pick this location again unless I was...
Read moreAbsolutely deplorable for the price they charge. In this US, this is a joint where teens and young adults go to celebrate a weekend or a birthday. I haven't set foot in one for over a decade due to their mediocre food.
While waiting for a movie, I decided to let my nostalgia guide me into this Fridays. So much regret. Ordered the chicken pasta and fried calamari with a side order of strawberry milkshake: the pasta sauce is straight out of the can, the chicken cannot even compete with the ones in Costco; don't even get me started with the soggy, oily, tasteless fried calamari. Congrats, the franchise truly succeeded in importing the nightmare taste they offer in the US. No other franchise in Taiwan is the same as the US (McDonald's, Burger King, KFC, etc), but good TGI Fridays is keeping traditions alive.
Thanks for reminding me why I barred TGI for decades. What I am surprised about is how they keep in business offering such quality food here......
