Aroma Zanzibar — Restaurant in Dar es-Salaam

Our experience would say was alright. From the beginning, the place looked full, so we were trying to look for a place where noone was there to guide us. But we found a table and sat, I think they were low in staff, the menu was on the table so we had already decided the order, & we're just waiting for the waiter, and got the order done later. But disappointing was that our order took more than 50mins to reach, thinking Zanzibar mix or other simple stuff are ready and need to heat. But the waitress who took our order, was doing a great job who looked tired as well as they looked short staffed. The food delay was not what I had expected. But the food was good. The mix was nice, the zanzibar pizza was great & good taste. Had ordered paneer skewers but it was tasting like it smoked chicken. The chicken Skewers were nice. All the sauces were good, the red chutney & coconut chutney. Overall everything was good, just the delay had spoilt it. A very cool restaurant. Affordable food prices and a variety of meals on their menu. My partner and I have always loved going there… The negative part: A few weeks ago I went there for their delicious Zanzibar mix, which was as expected, delicious until I found a cockroach!!!! I am not one to give negative reviews but unfortunately, I have to in this case. The waitress was mortified and apologised profusely, she then went to show the manager and to my disappointment, he could not have cared less!!! He looked at the cockroach, placed the bowl on the table and did not say a word to me!!!! Not an apology…nothing!!! Oh, and I also paid for the meal! New restaurant with excellent food and service. I have eaten here several times and all the food I have tried is delicious. Many good menu items to choose from. It is difficult for me to eat at the other places in the area, when I know I can get the same, or better, quality of food, at half the price. Comfortable outdoor tables, under covered area. The waiters area kind and give good service. Ask what they recommend on the menu. They will point out some...
