The concept of this restaurant is really great. Its a good place to meet friends for drinks and to play some board games. Its not intended to be a family restaurant. I went with my #Netball Team because we had just won the gold medal 🥇in our league!!! I THINK THEY WANT YOU TO BE TOO DRUNK TO NOTICE THE FOOD QUALITY The food is mediocre but has a very high price tag. Do not come expecting great cuisine there is something from just about every region in the world. Which means they specialize in nothing. The menu is huge but the intention is for it to be a drinking place. The board games were even themed for drinking games so again do not expect for it to cater to kids. The decor seems out of place and clashing for example some of the lights had flower vines draped on them and the loud colored walls were done in an elementary style verses a sophisticated game room style. It was hard to find a place in the restaurant that was instagram picture worthy. The only dish we ate that was really good were the chicken tenders. The prawn biriyani was very flavorful but I wouldn’t say it was worth the price when we live Biriyani land. I’ve have better biriyani for a 1/4 of this price. Don’t come expecting great food but they have great service and you will enjoy your drinks. I would suggest that they shrink their menu and focus on executing a few dish that are mind blowing.

The food and attention to detail here is the best you will find in Dar es Salaam. The staff are lovely and attentive to your needs. Food is always served together, which is more important than most realise. They have such a variety from Indian, European to Chinese. And let me say they have talented chefs because they nail each one. Food here is awesome! Nice portions and beautiful flavour. The chefs here are very spectacular. Remember the Indians don't come with rice! So add it on, but the portions and flavours come very close to a beautiful Indian in India! Best indian food I've had in Dar es salaam. Air conditioning is a bonus and lovely atmosphere. Try the lemon ice tea!

Hoppipola is quite the happening place to watch sports, particularly cricket. We were a couple of friends who went there to just chill and there was an Indian Premier League cricket match going on, which made the place quite loud and happening. We ordered 2 jugs of Mojito and some nachos. The mojito could have been a little stronger - felt like drinking unsweetened lemon juice with mint. The place also has a couple of board/card games such as Jenga, Uno and Monopoly Deals. Overall, we had a fun weekend afternoon here. It is quite pricey, but it ought to be expected given that it's Masaki Peninsula.

I didn't mind the price. But when you price things like that and have a good ambience then the management needs to look into hiring good educated staff who know English and especially know how to listen. I was extremely disappointed with the service especially when you ask them to repeat the order and still they make mistakes after which they continued serving us a the coldest pizza I have ever seen because they were rectifying the order which said no capsicum so they started hand picking . This i can confirm because we could see the marks on the pizza of capsicums being picked out after the pizza was made. If they showed professionalism then they would have made a whole new one for us fresh and hot to maintain standards. Lastly the gravest mistake when i said o want to oau with credit card. I clearly said credit card he comes with the machine a guy I don't know takes my card does not confirm the figure with me and punches in the amount with my card in while I am telling him show me and put the machine on the table, seems my words were ignored completely. He took my credit card and started punching figures without confirming with me. Educate them that some credit cards don't ask for pins and a silly mistake in typing can lead to huge issues for customers. I just thought such a high end place would at least show some professionalism. One thing I should comment the paneer chilly dry was fresh and good. It's the customer service I was disappointed with and the family pizza. In this pandemic where we try our best to earn and want some time to relax so we go to eat out and end up being so stressed. I suggest going to a much simpler place would have been...

Much bigger than meets the eye from the road and it has a surprisingly deep menu of predominantly Chinese and Indian dishes (North and South).

What I liked - the food was fresh, well cooked, presented and consistent. I was very impressed that it was light and zingy. That goes for both the Chinese flavours and Indian flavours. Both cuisines can be loaded with fats or overpowered with flavours very easily and in this case I applaud it. Really, the food was great, particularly the Indian flavours. One of the most aromatic and well flavoured biryanis I've ever tried and it is a 5 star recommendation (prawn biryani).

What I didn't like- this is Tanzania and I guess service is generally poor. Here it was bad. The floor manager was doing a great job but staff really lacked the ability to understand basics. The music was loud and the place had a weird stand offish Spartan feel. Tables and chairs were...kind of unfriendly. Food fresh, wonderful, but came out one dish at a time so you found yourself unable to blend flavours and enjoy, if you wanted something fresh and hot....better eat it now. One person ordered Chinese...it all came first...no Indian until he had basically finished...even the roti bread came out randomly with nothing to eat with jt. That timing is unacceptable and made it very un group friendly.

I'd definitely go again for food, bur never with a group and I'd just...
