PappaRoti Aura — Restaurant in Dar es-Salaam

I’m writing this review with a heavy heart, as this establishment used to be a beloved breakfast spot for me. Specifically, I adored their buns and frequented this place three to four times a week. However, my recent experiences have been disappointing, leading me to revise my initial 4-star rating down to 1 star.

The cuisine remains excellent, especially the buns, which were once my absolute favorite. Unfortunately, for the past four months, the unavailability of these buns has been a recurring issue. I was initially told they would be back in stock the following day, but each subsequent visit brought the same disappointing news. It’s disheartening that, as of September 11, the situation remains unchanged from June 12.

I understand that circumstances can lead to shortages, but consistent and clear communication would greatly improve this experience. It would be wonderful to see a more proactive approach to managing customer expectations.

I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I genuinely want to see this establishment succeed. I look forward to the day when I can once again enjoy those...

From the moment we sat till we left. There wasnt a smile a gello neither when we showed the offer xoupons did they ask us as to which type of Kunafa we would like. It was disappointing when we got different types and one of them wasn't something many would like.

We did order the breads and hot beverages which were to.come.together? But the servers give u the beverages and make u wait 20 mins for the bread. My concern is why can they not communicate and advice as to how long it would take and if we would want the beverages prior.

Still the bread was very good. So we're the hit chocolate capacino and latte. The food was great. But when served with a frown it puts you off.

My request to the managent would be look properly into the people you hire. We came as a family wanting to spend time together talk but our happiness disappeared when we got such a service from start till my cousin had to call. To report it.

So we were there today for spanish latte and bun, firstly bun was not fully baked, secondly spanish latte was literally bad in taste, of inquiring why is it so bad ?? Tarik a supervisor gave us coffee shot to add on, when we again said it's taste Is still bad, he told us we don't have condensed milk so we add sugar hot milk in it.

As taste was bad like we were drinking sugar cold milk, so we asked to change it after asking for two times we returned the coffee at the counter no staff member was coming so literally we have to move to counter to get it returned, and on asking for return, Mr. Tarik told us like you have two sips of that cold sugar milk so you have to pay us 4,000 TSH, after that we will give you other drinks.

There staff members are not trained to handle customers, moreover when we asked to return our money, he replied we don't have refund policy if you want refund you can drink that sugar cold milk.
