Restaurant Safi — Restaurant in Unguja

Each of the four dishes we had -- from the most simple to the most complex -- was flavorful and delicious. It's extremely small, but not cramped, and the ambience and decoration of the restaurant are impressive. I loved everything about this place. And the prices are unreal! Honestly I felt a little bad eating such a delicious, enormous, and intricate four-dish meal, and paying the same price I'd pay back home for a small mediocre starter.

I normally try to visit multiple restaurants while travelling an area, but I'll definitely be returning here. Do yourself a favor and eat here. Anyone who rated less than 5 must have lost their tastebuds in a double dog daring...

We arrived and it looked closed so we asked if the restaurant was open. They said yes so we took place. It is a very simple place but we knew that and were there for the food. I think the place can be simple but clean. Unfortunately our table cloth was very Dirty and besides of sliding with the hand over it, nothing happened to Change it. but ok. We had Calamari and Octopus. Since we read the comments we were expecting something deliscious. It was in good but really bland in the taste. I had the pleasure of eating at Restaurant Safi. The owner Edi was a terrific host, very friendly and polite. The menu offers an array of fresh and delicious seafood options as well as other local cuisine, so be sure to ask what the recent catches were that day. I ordered the seafood platter which included fresh grilled octopus, fried calamari, grilled fish and prawns which came with assorted vegetables, and a choice of chips (French fries) or coconut rice.
