Buddy's Bar & Grill (Soi 89) — Restaurant in Bang Chak Subdistrict

I went there for breakfast UK style. The sausages were excellent and actually tasted like English breakfast sausages, which is a very unusual and pleasant surprise in Bangkok. The bacon was fine, but American style streaky bacon as opposed to UK Back bacon rashers. The ham was fine. The fried potatoes were excellent. The baked beans were fine but a little sweet for my taste. The bread was a bit disappointing, it reminded me of the cheap "accordion loaves" that US supermarkets used to sell 50 years ago. If the management can find some better quality sliced bread, this would be an excellent English...

Fascinating to see how Buddy’s has evolved into many establishments.

At this branch, service is a bit soft (-1 point) but you can order and consume Thai food from next door.

The place is reputed to have extremely quick internet which makes it a good place to enjoy a beverage while making moves on the stock market or similar.

The Farang crowd is a regular one but was really interesting to meet a countryman that I haven’t seen in 20 years all the way up Sukhumvit.

Would I come back? Most certainly.

Great American Diner in Sukhumvit Soi 89. Big range of beers & spirits, food is really good quality. Mexican & burger range especially. The burgers could be the best in Bangkok but we'll short of boutique burger prices. If you can't get out to Soi 89, it is well worth a delivery. Cosy decor, situated on Sukhumvit Rd you can't miss it. It is also a Sukhumvit Darts League bar, if you are a keen thrower stop in to throw...
