Pasta heaven. Homemade pasta thats made with hybrid machine and traditional kneading, with spinach ravioli and gnocchi as premium options. All pasta options come up a chunky and juice bacon that balances out well the sauces. Bacon is just thiccc - not that thin cruncy bacon but with layers of meat and fat. Both carbonara and tomato red sauce are tasty and well worth the price, sprinkled with generous amounts of cheese. Good with friends and groups with indie music. Definitely attracts a younger, international crowd. Downside is difficult parking which makes this restaurant hard to access. Recommend to go for the River City parking as the Cafe has limited spots in front.

An All-Rounder Culinary Haven. This cozy and inviting restaurant creates a heart-warming ambiance, complemented perfectly by their outstanding dishes. They serve, hands down, the best bacon I've ever tasted, and the fresh pasta is an unparalleled gastronomic delight - it's truly priceless! The quality of the food is top-notch, with prices that are justifiable for such a sublime dining experience. I indulged in their Caesar salad, enhanced by a secret bacon recipe that's a game-changer, and the Seafood Ravioli which was a symphony of flavors. And pls do me a flavor, try their cake! -over all, it's a culinary journey you won't regret.

For the record, this is not my first visit to Mad Sugar, and I fully intend to make many more. I love how the owner imaginatively portrays the cuisine on social media and how her mother is very passionate and dedicated to making fresh pasta noodles. All of the dishes have a genuine, homemade flavour and are produced using high-quality ingredients. Every member of staff is warm and welcoming. When compared to other restaurants in Bangkok offering similar menu items, I found the cost to be reasonable. Be careful to call beforehand to ensure you can get a parking spot near the restaurant's entrance. You're in my thoughts, Mad Sugar.

One of the great Pasta House in Bangkok!

We ordered a lot and had a blast at Mad Sugar! They offered several type of handmade pasta, so we decided to try them all. I read reviews before with the case of not-so-friendly services, but that’s not the case with us. Altho the place is packed (all table were full) the staffs are friendly and kindly help us with the menu recommendations and chosing what pasta goes well with what sauce.

All the pasta are nicely done and to me perfectly cooked. Because they are fresh pasta, the Al dente point could still be somewhat softer when compare to the dried ones. However, me and all of our table agreed that all dishes are just slightly under-seasoned. So if you are like us, just ask for some salt! Tho we did mentioned this to the staff after she came and ask us how was the food.

The cake to be honest are not live up to its hype. I really really want to love the “Somtum” Cake badly, but it just doesn’t speak Somtum for me, only a soft aftertaste. I also had the chocolate Miso cake, which is good but tad bit too salty to my liking. So it’s a bit funny how their cake is too salty than their pasta!

Anyway, this is a really good pasta place and cute/hip decor, I sure want to come...
