Coco JJ Coconut Icecream — Restaurant in Chatuchak Subdistrict

Coconut Ice Cream [1.5/5] 🥥 I decided to try the coconut ice cream at a place with a high review rating of 4.5/5 on Google Maps, but unfortunately, it turned out to be extremely disappointing. The coconut ice cream lacked the expected coconut fragrance and flavor, and the coconut flesh provided, although having some coconut fragrance, was tough in texture.

🍚 I opted for classic sticky rice and nata de coco as toppings, and thankfully, these two toppings tasted better. The sticky rice was fragrant and sticky, and the nata de coco was of standard quality. However, the overall experience with the coconut ice cream was far from satisfying, especially considering its high rating.

😐 Service [2/5] The staff at this establishment were not friendly, had unfriendly expressions, and showed impatience towards customers.

Ambience [2.5/5] The store had relatively bright lighting and appeared to be newly furnished, making the store experience slightly better compared to other stalls in Chatuchak Market.

💰 Value [1.5/5] Priced at 60 Baht for a serving of 2 scoops of coconut ice cream with two toppings, it may be considered reasonable by some, but given the disappointing quality of the coconut ice cream, I don't find it to be a good...

This place is located inside the Chatuchak weekend market and the best way to reach here is to take the MRT train and get out of the Exit 2 gate of the Kamphaeng phet MRT station.

This stall is very famous for its Coconut Ice Cream and there are always huge queues outside and it will cost you just 50 Baht for a scoop of coconut ice cream served in a coconut shell and two toppings and a glass of coconut water.

I for one did not like its taste that much as I found the coconut ice cream sold in the stall outside the Isetan department store in Central World shopping mall...

i think there are 3 Coco JJ’s in the area, but their ice creams are good! i generally love coconut ice cream done right and theirs is on the spectrum towards great. there are numerous toppings you can choose from to add crunch or more flavor. i specifically chose toppings similar to the photo from their menu hahahah like pandan, red beans, peanuts, and sticky rice. it was worth it and i would’ve gotten more if i could eat more!! you should just have some skill trying to navigate the chatuchak market while eating...
