Baan Mae Café & Restaurant — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Well, what a wonderful surprise to find this hidden gem only a short distance from my home. The ambiance is a delight, nice and cool with air-con rooms with comfortable seating inside and comfortable seating outside, but I only explored the front area. This was very appealing and welcoming for my first visit. The staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful. The menu selection was very good and varied. (90% Thai dishes,) The photos justified what you saw is what you get. Food quality was very high. A very good selection of wines were available & cocktails. I only had time to explore and taste one of the dishes on my first visit but tried other dishes on my second visit from the very appealing menu on. I know I will come back frequently for sure. Prices were very reasonable and well worth for the quality of the food. Highly recommend this restaurant to all. In English mom house very nice place they take very good care of small details starting from our call to reserve they ask details about menu we will choose so if takes time they prepare to reduce waiting time and we placed order with main dishes we like, we arrived were impressed with the beauty of the big garden and its nice orientation we found our table reserved, then placed our order and yes what we ordered by phone ready to serve we ordered seabase fish with chill lime , humok poo , salmon salad , stirfired mushrooms and fried rice with crab all dishes very tasty and fresh ingredients and well presented, service excellent specially sue she was amazing, real fine dining ideal for celebrating certain occasion prices not cheap but worse visiting and I will definitely go again finally and the happy end for this exceptional experience we were greeted by the owner diana who took the time talking to us proudly about his aowsom...

Baan Mae is our favorite Restaurant and going every day if in Chiang Mai and so we went last week 2 times and frankly the best Restaurant in Thailand for us! Always impressed with the food which is classic Thai and often we opt for the steaks and sausage platter and/or cordon blue. Desserts: Thai tea creme brulé a plate of French Brie Cheese.and Segafredo coffee are all tip top! Good cocktails (perfect Whiskey Sour) & great wine list! This time we had again Riesling and Californian Zinfandel and to top ot off a German ICEWINE at the end...so delisious! The ambience is fantastic and really cozy, love their Oldtimer Car which unfortunatelywas absentbecause they send for maintenance; a Ford from the 1920s… thanks for great service by all staff and we will be back soon!
