BEPPU — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

We had lunch here which we were the only customers by then, honestly I hope they could have more guests to survive in Nimman area as the food was better than expected.

We had Chicken Katsu with curry rice and the large portion of Grilled Eel on rice. Portion was huge, food were all made to order, we were served complimentary snacks while we were waiting, seaweed salad and green beans in sesame sauce, you can taste the sauce was not from ready made, taste really good.

Katsu Chicken was fried to crisp yet its light and the batter was not thick, curry is authentic Japanese style, there's tempura of onion and garlic with marinated red ginger, the whole plate was really big, maybe good for two small esters like me. $130 Bhat

Big portion of Grilled Eel rice was huge of course, $390 Bhat, Eel was of a whole piece, tender and delicious.

We ordered iced green matcha, surprised me that was refillable at $15Bhat

Restaurant the day was run by two ladies, they were friendly and care about us, they offered us mosquito spray and carefully closed windows after we came in.

This place is tucked away in a corner besides two large restaurants with the name "别府" on the wall. When I first walked in, the air inside was cool, the lighting was warm and welcoming, and the staff was welcoming and very kind. There aren't very many people here, but the food is absolutely superb! I ordered the tempura udon and the pork katsu set (comes with rice, miso soup, seaseme seeds, and a cabbage salad) which, oh my goodness, the pork was so juicy, tender, and crispy with the fried batter. The udon was so savory with a still slightly crispy outside on the tempura, and chewy noodles cooked to perfection. Serving sizes are quite filling so do order 1 dish per person Easily the best katsu and best udon I've ever had. Please do stop by if you have the opportunity...

Super cute and tiny restaurant with good food and very friendly service. They do have a menu with lots of variety: fish sets, sushi, satay… went with some friend and they ordered the chicken satay and loved it. The portion was very big. I ordered the salmon set and my partner sushi. All dishes were delicious, service was fast and the staff were super nice. They bring also some fruit with the food so it is a perfect dessert too. Just bear in mind capacity like 18 people so this place is not suitable...
