Disappointed service!!!! No apologies from the owner. No responsibility for what we have lost.
My husband and I ordered a Pizza and Salad. The food and wine was ok but there were a lot of bugs in the Oregano and Chili Powder. At first I didn’t notice any bugs on my pizza yet but I saw one bugs on the table. I thought it a regular bug and I had finished my first piece of pizza. I took the second piece and put the Oregano on top then I saw a lot of small bugs in the oregano. I let the staff know and they took my pizza and the oregano bottle. They gave me a new plate. I took my third piece pizza and I put the chili powder only then I finished that and I saw one bugs on my plate again then I put the chili powder on my plate and OMG! There are a lot of bugs again!!! I let the staff know again they took that chili bottle away. After I saw bugs twice I lost my confidence to more. I just had two pieces of pizza. My husband was lucky he didn’t put any oregano or chili on top of his pizza so he finished 4pieces of that. I told my husband we should let the owner know about this and we told him. He just said I will take care of it. He didn’t say any Sorry or apologize after I lost my pizza and ate the bugs by accident. At the end we requested the bill and they charged full price for everything. We said we should get some discount on this I lost my pizza my confidence and bad experience on my anniversary. Then they didn’t charge for the pizza. Why do we need to ask for the discount???? Why no apology or sorry from the owner and manager????? Why no professional service at the international restaurant????? Additionally, I picked this restaurant for our anniversary is just because of I like the pizza from this restaurant. Whenever I go to this restaurant I always order the pizza and salad. Unfortunately I had really bad experience for...

Emidio and his dedicated staff team pulled off a superb experience, transporting over 50 happy diners to a lavish, family-style celebration of the best of the cuisine and wine of the boot of Italy, in the shaded garden of his ever popular restaurant. Three long tables allowed guests to sample delicious regional delicacies, sourced by Emidio and lovingly recreated by hand in his amazing kitchen, over a relaxed and informal four hour feast. Unusual and high quality wines were paired with luxurious antipasto and five subsequent courses - particular highlights being the tissue paper thin tuna loin carpaccio, which I could have happily eaten all afternoon, and the hand crafted Burrata di Puglia - completely different from anything I have tried before. Deceptively simple, but utterly delicious! Gentle waves of hearty courses, each matched with generously refilled glasses of fine Puglian wines from Masseria li Veli were discretely delivered to guests by Charlie and his fellow waiting colleagues, whilst Emidio and the owners of the winery tirelessly engaged with diners, passionately describing the origins of the dishes and the wines that we were all enjoying! All in all a truly splendid event, savoured with friends in this little corner of Puglia off Nimmanhemin! Thank you Emidio - I can't wait for...
Read moreAt first glance, the restaurant's fare seems to whisper the promise of a culinary odyssey through the heart of traditional Mediterranean cuisine. The pastries, a golden fleet of phyllo triangles, are a visual triumph, their crisp exteriors glinting like jewels in a weaver's basket. However, the taste, while pleasantly flaky, lacks the depth of flavor one might expect from such an expertly bronzed exterior. It seems the kitchen's alchemy falls a touch short, the filling trapped in a purgatory between blandness and brilliance.
The charcuterie board, while artfully arranged, presents a modest selection that speaks more of restraint than of abundance. The cured meats are well-executed, with each slice exhibiting the proper balance of fat and lean, whispering of the old-world techniques that crafted them. Yet, it is the cheese selection that leaves one yearning for more—a paltry assembly where one might hope for a bounteous feast. The cheeses offered do sing with a gentle richness and a textural play that is commendable, but the variety does not cater to those with a more adventurous palate, leaving a faint echo of missed opportunity.
In sum, the experience is akin to a well-set stage waiting for a play that stumbles in its second act. There is an undeniable charm to the authenticity and simplicity on display, and while the performance does not soar to gastronomic heights, it is, nonetheless, a solid repast worthy of a solid four stars. The potential is palpable, and with a bit more daring in the kitchen, this establishment could easily tip the scales...
