A Delightful Culinary Experience with a Fresh Twist

I recently dined at Garden to Table by Hotpot Panda, and it was an extraordinary culinary experience. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the inviting atmosphere and the unique concept of the restaurant.

Ambiance: The restaurant boasts a modern yet cozy design, with an emphasis on greenery and natural elements that create a refreshing dining environment. The open kitchen concept allows diners to see the fresh ingredients being prepared, adding to the overall experience.

Menu: The menu is innovative and diverse, offering a wide range of hotpot options with a focus on fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Each dish is thoughtfully crafted, highlighting the natural flavors of the ingredients. The variety of broths and dipping sauces caters to different tastes and dietary preferences.

Food Quality: The quality of the food is outstanding. The vegetables are crisp and flavorful, the meats are tender and perfectly cooked, and the seafood is fresh and succulent. The Garden to Table concept truly shines through in every bite, making each dish a delight.

Service: The service at Garden to Table by Hotpot Panda is impeccable. The staff are knowledgeable and passionate about the food they serve. They are attentive without being intrusive, and they offer excellent recommendations for both newcomers and seasoned hotpot enthusiasts.

Overall Experience: Dining at Garden to Table by Hotpot Panda is more than just a meal; it’s an experience. The combination of fresh ingredients, expertly prepared dishes, and a welcoming atmosphere makes this restaurant a standout. What an amazing find! The restaurant looked full and we thought about finding another spot for dinner, when a server approached us and guided us to a recently vacated table near the kitchen doorway. The owner/chef came to our table and asked if it was our first time. Then she proceedes to tell us how she makes everything from scratch with fresh ingredients. She told us her dishes were not served spicy, but we could add as much of her homemade chile paste to taste. We started with passion fruit sodas (no extra sugar- none needed!) They were super refreshing. Next, we decided on an order of the fresh spring rolls. I'm so glad we did! They were tasty and the sauce was excellent, much better than the bottled sweet chili sauce you get most everywhere else. For our entrees we tried the pork khao soi and the vegetable tom yum. We were so delighted with our meals. The broths were so delicious!! From the abundance of fresh vegetables in the soups to the tenderness of the noodles, everything was chef's kiss delicious!! I sampled the chile paste on its own- wow! The flavor profile was complex and, you guessed it, spicy! I'm sad we won't have time to go...

Absolutely magical experience at Garden to Table!

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and intention. What makes this place truly special is the connection between the food and the land—literally. We had the privilege of touring the garden where many of the ingredients are grown, and you can taste the freshness in every bite.

The dishes are not only beautifully presented but also crafted with care—balanced flavors, organic produce, and no MSG or refined sugar. You can tell this isn’t just about food; it’s about well-being, sustainability, and love for what they do.

I grew up here and moved to the US many years ago, I've been searching for authentic northern Thai dishes with no sugar and I'm so happy to find that here at Garden to Table.

The atmosphere is peaceful, the staff is thoughtful, and the owner’s passion shines through in every detail. If you're in Chiang Mai and care about health, quality, and supporting authentic local gems—this is a must-visit.

Highly recommend and can’t...

The restaurant is quite new (they opened a couple of months ago). The staff is super friendly and the owner speaks very good English. She told us that the veggies are from her own garden and introduced us to veggies I have never eaten before. It was also my first time eating hot pot, because usually the broth is not vegan/vegetarian, here we had the option to choose between 3 different vegan soups! If you never had hot pot, try it! It is so fun to cook your own veggies, which will be served on a big platter. She also made us an amazing green mango salad with herbs and berries, all grown in their own garden! (The salad changes due to season and availability of fruits and vegetables.) I tried most vegetarian restaurants in Chiangmai and this is definitely one of my new favorites! If you feel like having a wholesome (vegan) meal with lots of veggies and not just the usual carrot and cabbage mix, this place is for you! Enjoy!
