We had dinner here tonight. Inside the place is small but after 5pm they set up many more tables outdoor next to the restaurant. Staff was nice and spoke English well. The can make any dishes in the menu as vegetarian one and adjust the spiciness to your liking. We ordered a papaya salad, a tom khai chicken soup, fried rice with curry (vegetarian) and a mango and sticky rice. Here is my rating: Papaya salad: good. The dressing was well balance between sweet and sour. It did not have dried shrimp. The tom khai soup: excellent. The broth was a little rich from coconut milk combined with a little sweet and very lightly spicy. The green eggplants was not overcooked to provide a crunchy texture beside the tender chicken meat. The soup went well with steam rice. Fried rice with curry: my friend said it was good but it did have a little kick. Mango and sticky rice: good. The sticky rice was not sweet like the one in Bangkok. It has a blue color from the butterfly pea flowers. The mango was ripe and sweet. However, the coconut milk was not rich enough to my taste. It was a little bland. Overall, it was a great dinner. We definitely come back to try other dishes. The price was very reasonable. With 1 bia and 1 soda, our final bill was only 320 bahts. I highly recommend this place. They open from 10am to 10pm daily except Saturday.

A pretty good Thai restaurant if you’re looking to try some typical Northern Thai food while you visit Chiang Mai. Very tasty food available for dine in or takeout. Tea was excellent. The portions of the food were bigger than they looked on the menu, so beware. My fried shrimp came with 6 very big shrimps and the Kao Soi was flavorful and filling. Beware, some might be too spicy for some people so make sure you ask your server if you they can do not or little spicy if you’re German or something. Friendly, fast and efficient service. Server has a bit of a spicy attitude but I don’t think they’re trying to be rude or mean. Available also in Thai and English. Payments accepted with cash or card. Reservations not needed even on weekdays during busy season. Most tables were full though. Can keep luggage nearby table. Handicap friendly and wheelchair accessible. Ground floor. Parking for car and motorcycle nearby. Printed menu is huge! So many options. WiFi available at table with password, free for customers. Vegetarian options available. Roofed outdoor seating with fans.

I came to this restaurant due to the amount of reviews and having a craving for dessert. I ordered the mango sticky rice and a pineapple-guava juice. I originally asked for the Thai milk tea- no (low) sugar but the gentleman said that was not possible. Due to them probably prebatching the tea's, I ordered a juice. The mango sticky rice is probably one of the better ones I had to far in Chiang Mai, yet it could have tasted a little creamier. They do serve a little side bowl of coconut milk with it. The juice tasted like a normal juice however the guava tasted not ripe. I've had tons of guavas in Latin america and Asia and this was the first time the juice tasted like unripe fruit. In regards to the total rating I would have given them 3/4 stars untill I heard one of the servers (or the owner) state a comment to the table next to me when they took 10sec longer to order. "Don't you know how to order in your country or language, ugh". This table being occupied by another Asian ethnicity. Having many years in hospitality and management I was a little shocked by that. You might not have treated me that way, but kind sir, there is no need to treat any of your costumers that way. The restaurant was busy the entire time I was there, all dishes of everyone came out quite quickly and the place has plenty of staff working there for quick service. I do feel like this place is a little overhyped. For the mango sticky rice and the juice I paid 90baht.

Updated - came here for lunch and got a veggie tofu massaman and tofu veggie fried rice. I’ve definitely had better massaman as this was quite soupy. They also forgot the tofu in the rice initially so we had to give it back for them to add in. We also got a mango and strawberry smoothie which tasted like there could’ve been sugar in it even though we requested no sugar. It was also quite icy 🤷🏽♀️ The food was served extremely fast. Our tummies were a bit sore after, and after seeing some more recent reviews regarding the hygiene of this place, I’m wondering if that’s a contributing factor and have reduced our rating from 5 to 3 stars as our experience between the two visits was very different. My husband however did mention that his tummy was sore after the first visit too which I hadn’t realised when I initially posted the review. —————————————————— Found this spot on google which was a 13min walk from where we were staying - crazy busy spot with a queue & about 30 tables all packed with people. Pretty great vibes, all seating is outside in this sort of empty carpark looking space. Great service & ambience. We were third in line or so and got a table within 10min so the small wait was worth it. My husband & I both got the veggie khao soi with tofu and a mango sticky rice for dessert - both were extremely delicious & the total bill was only 180THB including a small bottle of water. An absolute steal. Would come back again.

Edit: After a month in Thailand we can confidently say that this is the best Thai restaurant we’ve been to. Do not miss this in Chiang Mai! We (a couple) had the pleasure of taking the full day cooking class with Ms. Lek. Lucky for us, we were the only people in the class that day so you can say we got a private class just for ourselves, and it was probably one of the best things we've done in Chiang Mai. We went with Ms. Lek to the market, where we'd tried local food and fruits we didn't know existed, and bought local groceries for our dishes. Speaking of dishes - each of us picked 7 dishes to make (full course), so ultimatly we made 14 dished. They were so delightful to make and so delicious to eat! We were so full, so they gave us some of the dishes to take away. Regardless of the cooking class, we also loved the restaurant itself - so much that we came there multiple times, and it was the reason for us to book the cooking class.

A strong 4.5 Stars! Many places in the region seemed touristy so it’s a little hard finding a decent place in the old city. Saw the banner that they also do cooking class as well. For the price, flavor, quantity, I think this place hits it head on. Very glad we tried this compared to some other places nearby. Food/price: we tried Penang curry 50, stir fry basil chicken 50, pad Thai 50, steamed rice 10, mango drink 30, papaya drink 30. Total 220 thb. For the two of us, it’s plenty of food for under $7! This is amazing! The food we liked, they had their distinct taste and flavor. We finished it all, except for the drinks. It was really good at first but after a while, it’s just way too icy and that cup holds a lot! Location/ambiance: conveniently located and easy to find. Around 8 tables or so. When we went in the late afternoon time, we didn’t have to wait. 2-3 other parties eating there when we did.
