“Wat Phan On: A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Chiang Mai”
Wat Phan On is truly a hidden gem that offers a peaceful escape right in the bustling heart of Chiang Mai. This serene temple combines beautiful Lanna architecture with a welcoming and tranquil atmosphere, making it a must-visit for anyone exploring the city.
The golden stupa is absolutely stunning, especially during sunset when the light reflects off its surface, creating a magical glow. The intricate details in the carvings and decorations showcase the craftsmanship of the Lanna culture.
What sets Wat Phan On apart is its quiet charm — unlike other temples, it’s less crowded, allowing you to take your time and truly immerse yourself in the spiritual ambiance. The grounds are immaculately maintained, and the monks are friendly and approachable, always ready to share their wisdom if you’re interested.
If you’re visiting during the weekend, the temple’s location near the Sunday Walking Street Market makes it a perfect spot to unwind before or after exploring the market. Don’t forget to light a candle or make a wish at the prayer area; it’s a simple yet profound experience.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking peace, beauty, and a touch of Chiang Mai’s rich...
