I went here with some friends after another friend recommended the place. I must say I was a little disappointed. The service was friendly but they made too many mistakes. Maybe new inexperienced staff? One of my friends got the wrong order. My cheese and ham baguette (which cot a whopping 130 Baht) arrived without the ham but to their credit when I did mention this they did make me a fresh ham and cheese baguette and I was allowed to eat the earlier baguette without ham for free :-) The cheese however didn't taste like cheese on either baguette. The beer is also expensive at 95 Baht for a large Chang but they, again to their credit, offer "condoms" aka stubbie holders so you can keep your beer cool. When the bill came (and I expected this) I was charged for a beer I'd already paid for. I did mention this and they did correct it bur I suggest you check your bill carefully if you go here because I wasn't the only one who had mistakes on their bill. I'm being a bit generous because I got 2 baguettes for the price of 1 but if you are charging this much for food and beer I would at least expect them to get the order right and not try to overcharge you especially since it's not in a touristy area. In short, I won't be back. There are better places in the city center that are cheaper and don't get the orders wrong and don't try to...
Read moreI ordered a crab cocktail as an entree. This was nice but strange that it was warm... Most likely defrosted in the microwave. The main was a deer steak and i ordered medium rare. However it came totally red, more rare is not possible. The wife ordered a sjaslick. It should be nice and juicy, but this meat was very dry and tasteless. Was for sure not that nice and juicy barbecued stick what you may expect for the price. A 3rd dish was Belgium mussels. It was not prepared as the real Belgium dish with strong mussel herbs and mostly cooked in Belgium beer. We expected that because the price of 360 baht should be ample money to prepare a good tasting authentic dish. The used mussels were more the pre opened thai mussels as you buy them on the market. I think they more concentrate on the bar function with Belgium beers. The staff was lovely and very welcoming. Only the kitchen...
Read moreA place like 1000 other pubs, beer bars and restaurants in traditional English style. The food ,however, has a focus on Belgian dishes, making the place far more interesting than expected. The food is tasty, the (Belgian) beer is the perfect drink for the food, and the service is OK. Summary: it's a good place for having a meal and a drink in no hurry. What else...
