JOY Restaurant By Eleven Gentlemen — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Enjoyed our lunch of stir fried egg plant and spicy steam fish . We were the only customer (2 adults) so I think being a quiet day they took the opportunity to train their very young staff. Our Thai tea was served to us by a young girl- walking like a bride strolling down the aisle. 😁😁 it was a cuppa worth waiting for. However our 2nd cup of Thai ( we ordered two cups) took another 10 minutes or so to come and it was tasteless and definitelt watered down so we had to send it back. Again we waited while our lunch arrived and then was told they have ran out of Thai tea so we substitute it for Japanese ( matcha) tea which wasn't the best I have had. If not for the slow service and being serve a terrible cup of Thai tea (when the first cup was excellent ) makes me wonder how consistent is the quality...

We had a really fantastic opening day here at Joy Restaurant. The owner - Sarah - welcomed us in with open-arms to enjoy a succulent buffet with a delicious fresh lassi and passionfruit soda.The staff are wonderful and the setting is picturesque.

We were lucky enough to enjoy free food on this special day - but if it was representative of the chef's skills then I would highly recommend parting with your hard-earned cash in exchange...
