Mama’s thai food — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Best Pad See Ew I’ve ever had — If you’re looking for an true thai experience, this place is it. From what I gathered Mama runs the kitchen out of the ground floor of her home, and she makes all of the food in the street food style kitchen right next to the tables. You come in, choose from a variety of traditional thai dishes, and write your order on a slip of paper. Mama's is an OKAY choice if looking for a cheap meal. For those who've reviewed saying it was the best in Thailand of whatever meal they had at Mama's, I feel for you. You've clearly not tried much of any quality.

I'm far from a good cook, but I've done easily as good a Thai meal as I had here. Not to say it was bad, because it wasn't, but a long, long way from being good. For the record, I had Panang Pork and Pork Fried Rice.

Tom yum was good but everything else was terrible. Especially the girl serving you(there's only one server) with Mum and Dad in the back cooking. Don't order the fried rice, worst fried rice we've ever has in Thailand, mushy and weird flavor. I don't normally give bad reviews to small Mom and Pop places but this one was just bad.
