Mee Gin Thai Food — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

A humble local resto near Tha Pae Gate/Sompet market, only need walking a little from the main road.

I ordered Seafood Tom Yum soup with rice and it was the best dish that I've had during my Chiangmai trip! I waited for around 15-20 minutes bcs it was lunch time so the place was kind of packed and the cook made the orders one by one.

They provide mineral water and glass that you can fill up by yourself.

The price and the taste are amazing! I was the only foreigner at that time (they have English menu as well, no need to worry, you just have to write down your order in a paper).

Amazing local Thai food. When you first arrive, make sure you grab a piece of paper from the counter and write your order. The kitchen worker helps you understand what to order. I got the Khao Soi and the Pad See Ew and it was absolutely amazing. This was one of my highlights after my trip as the flavors really hit you. We waited for just under an hour for a stir fried rice and a pad see ew. This place is obviously popular with locals as they had a lot of takeaway orders to get through but an hour for 2 simple stir fries is a little extreme. The food was pretty tasty and very cheap but we were nearly late for our bus. The woman running the shop asked us as soon as we entered what we wanted - not even a moment to think or sit down....
