Forgot to leave a review, even if I went to this tantalizing breakfast restaurant on my two last trips to Thailand. On of the best places for breakfast in SEA, if not the best. The staff work really hard, everything I ordered was good or excellent. Coffee is good, croissants as well, and there's many meal options to choose from. They also have cookies looking at you from the counter. Don't try the cookies. They will own your sweet little mouth as you blush, moan and pant for more. Such is life: lust to be found inside each and every cookie existence has to offer (they're really good!). I hope people will come here to have a peaceful time with family, alone chatting with expats or staff for a moment or with a loved one. Also, the location is pleasant: you can easily get to a nearby market to buy fruits and others, if you'd like. The vibe of this place is enjoyable. I often paid between 250 and 400ish Baht for a copious meal, drinking way too much coffee, having a wonderful time and meal, while reading a book in the morning. May you adore your breakfast as well, folksies! If you have allergies or certain food restrictions, just make sure to be clear about it. From what I recall, the person working behind the counter spoke...
Read moreHad brunch here a few days ago with a friend and was surprised by the size of the dishes. We both ordered the eggs benedict with sauce on the side and to share the French toast with fruit.
The eggs Benedict were of normal quality, the eggs were poached nicely and there were enough toppings on the bread. I am very glad we asked for the sauce on the side since the sauce tasted like melted butter and no other flavour.
The french toast had a different taste to it, but not bad. The fruits that came with the french toast were amazing, all perfectly ripe and nicely cut into pieces.
My friend ordered the papaya smoothie and myself the headache juice. The juice said to have ginger in it, yet no taste of that was distinct able. My friend actually got sick about 4/6 hours after our brunch and got diagnosed with a food poisoning.
She didn't eat anything else that day and the only thing we did not share was the papaya smoothie. I am not one to assume quickly, yet it's a funny coincidence.
The cafe isn't the cheapest one, yet it was nice to try for one time. The cafe definitely attracts tourists since that was the only target...
Read moreA pretty average restaurant for Chiang Mai - Nice Kitchen offers inside and outside dining in a narrow soi near Somphet Market. Beware mosquitoes if you sit outside, though it is a nice setting there.
You get big portions, but meals are pricier than many similar places. Food selections offered were not good. I had an omelette accompanied by far too much bread, with small portions of butter and spread.
Service was 'bitty'. They have a coffee machine which is ear-splitting when in operation. Conversation spoiler. However, the coffee was excellent.
The clientele seemed to be mostly ex-pat Americans and visitors.
Nice Kitchen has only ONE unisex toilet, and I gave up waiting in the queue after five minutes. Unacceptable for a restaurant of this size.
Many better restaurants...
