Chanya Massage Traditional Thai — Local services in Chiang Mai Province

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this massage center for a deep tissue massage and was blown away by the experience. As someone who experiences back pain, I was excited to try out this massage center and see if it could help alleviate some of my discomfort.

I'm happy to report that I left feeling significantly better than when I arrived! The massage therapist who worked with me, Toy, was absolutely amazing. It was my first time getting a deep tissue massage, and she made sure to explain the process to me beforehand and answer any questions I had. She was extremely professional and clearly had many years of experience in her craft. The strength of her massage was impressive, and I could tell that she was really working to target the areas where I was experiencing pain and tension. Despite the intensity of the massage, I never felt uncomfortable or like she was going too hard.

Beyond the actual massage itself, I was really impressed with the overall atmosphere of the massage center. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in the door. They were attentive to my needs and made sure that I had everything I needed to be comfortable during my massage. The facility itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a peaceful ambiance that made it easy to relax and unwind.

Overall, I would highly recommend this massage center to anyone in search of a top-notch massage experience. Toy was exceptional, and the entire staff went above and beyond to ensure that I had a positive experience. I left feeling better both physically and mentally, and I can't wait to return for another...

Good atmosphere inside the place, nice administrator who speaks English. While we are waiting for the masters - staff bring water and candy. Afterwards there is a procedure of washing and scrubbing the feet with salt. And then massage, so massage is the most unpleasant thing in this chain. I was there with friend and we came across indifferent masters, one did not regulate the force, in some parts of body she constantly pressed, in some places it was not enough pressure. My master generally did a back massage with one hand, the other lay indifferently on her knee and at the same time she whispering with another master, the final part of the massage was massaging the head, which took more time than a back massage (!). It seemed like it would last forever and probably a rare feeling when you waited for the end. After the massage, the administrator treated us with tea and cookies and, in terms of service, this is definitely a plus. But the main service - massage - was disappointing. They also gave us a voucher for a 10% discount, but we are unlikely to come again and recommend this place to anyone...

I came here because the reviews were excellent, and since this was one of the worst experiences I've had I am actually saying something.

I chose a 2 hour Thai massage with herbal compress. It is one of their more expensive options, and i was asked to pay in advance. Although this isn't too abnormal, it was HOW the receptionist asked that was rude.

The massage itself was slightly awkward, not very in tune to my needs, and more painful than necessary, especially when I asked for softer. Instead, I got a story about someone else who was too sensitive. I was having some trouble with my eye so I was more sensitive than usual, but an experienced massage therapist doesn't make you feel bad for needing a little care.

When it was all over, the receptionist asked if I've ever had a massage like this before. I've had 100s of Thai massages. I have been coming to Thailand regularly for more than 15 years. Yes, I've received this kind of massage. I've even received other bad ones.

I didn't love my massage, but it was the unfriendly and condescending attitude of the receptionist that is receiving...
