Tomahawk BBQ & Giant Steak & Butcher Shop — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

The quality of the meat was brilliant. The meat was 10 out of 10 and absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked to our specifications however, it did come out a bit lukewarm. The sides it came with were nice but the fries we ordered were from frozen and not good quality and the 'premium' salad was nothing special at all, some lettuce, cherry tomatoes and a sauce. They do not serve wine by the glass so we bought a bottle which was ok but like wine everywhere in Thailand, vastly overpriced for the quality. Also, they only have one dessert, a tiny Panna cotta which was not worth it at all. We will go back for sure because the meat was outstanding but this time I will ask for extra mashed potatoes instead of fries and skip the salad. If they offered a few more desserts, wine by the glass and had better quality sides this place would be amazing. I'm asking if they allow us to bring our own wine and pay corkage as that would also be good. The atmosphere was okay but not super welcoming. A few tweaks could up the game...

24-December-2022 We picked our steaks from the butcher shop and it was cooked on the charcoal grill whilst we watched. The steaks are served with just grilled corn, garlic and Thai spicy dipping sauce. As the steak was so tasty I didn't use the sauce and I didn't order any extra side dishes. The service was very good, even when the restaurant got busy later. There were staff that spoke good English. There is a happy hour running from 17:30 to 19:00 until the 31 December 2022. Also sales on meals. We went to take advantage of the happy hour to enjoy with our steaks! Tomahawk is a bit outside of Chiang Mai town, but as we live in this area it is very convenient for us. The helpful staff, good food and family friendly atmosphere make this a good choice for a medium priced...

Probably one of the better steakhouses we have found in CNX. Steaks are selected from the butchery and then cooked to order. Our steaks were all perfectly cooked as ordered, cut and served on a circular wooden tree cutting. Each meal came with a small corn, 2 x baby tomatoes and a roasted garlic. I gave 4 stars because there were few other sides available and only one dessert (an attempt at a pannacotta). Staff were over attentive and tended to be over helpful detracting slightly from the atmosphere. Prices were on the dearer side, but given the imported meat, to be expected.
