Vaanaa ​Cafe​ &​ Bistro — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

It's a place for architecture lovers not food lovers. Beautiful place for sure, but the chairs are uncomfortable, not a place to have a serious meal. The acoustic is not good either, too much echo and could get very noisy when there are 3-4 tables.

The coffee is not worth the price. Yes, beautiful latte art but doesn't taste as good. I ordered the "medium" roast which they charge 15 baht more but still taste bitter like dark roast. The marinara spaghetti, although looks like freshly made, it is way too sweet and not refreshing as it supposed to be. The grilled chicken salad is nice with a big piece of chicken breast and nicely dressed salad.

I don't know if I will come back again. Maybe for the salad at times but definitely not the pasta nor the pizza...

The restaurant/cafe is very beautiful and big. It's a nice quiet place to work or study. We ordered hot matcha lattes, but when they arrived it was not hot. Just room temperature. So it got cold very fast. I didn't send it back because they had already brought one cold matcha by accident and I felt bad to get them to make more. 🙈 Mushroom soup was just ok, nothing special. If you're looking for a comfortable retreat, Vaanaa Cafe & Bistro is worth checking out. The interior is wonderfully airy and spacious, and the air conditioning keeps things refreshingly cool.
