Cafe Waya — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

Was sitting here and had a coffee and a muffin this morning. I was waiting for my friend to show up to have a nice hearty breakfast. He showed up with two other work colleagues so we sat and lo and behold, we all ordered the English breakfast. All of us ordered the identical dish! It was really good in terms of presentation, but my egg whites were just too runny for my liking so I had them recook it. (happens a lot here)

There was many staff that but somehow the customer service was really slow and sucked!!

We had to continuously wave down the stuff to either get us something or for example, English breakfast eggs. I made sure to say please make sure the egg whites are cooked (when I ordered) , but they were still runny when I got them and I literally had to wave them down to show and explain that my egg whites. It was still a bit runny, but anyway!

We ordered the English breakfast and I was ALMOST finished eating my food. The Server came and took it away. They didn’t even ask ... like can I take this? The ladies just came and shoooop took it away, and I still had food on my plate 🍽️.

I said to them, I said, why did you take my plate? I wasn’t even finished?? They had piled the plates already on top so obviously I wasn’t going to take my plate back!!

The quality of the food is good. The ambiance are pretty nice café on the corner of Boat Avenue!!

Really cute Ambiente and the waiters were friendly. But that's about it. The bakery is good but over the top expensive for this performance. Taste is good but really by far doesn't justify the price. The regular lunch dishes prices were ok/acceptable but they were lacking in quality a lot and will get beaten from any Thai street fast food. I had Cashew Chicken meal and the kitchen forgot the sauce and the Cashew and one of the vegetables tasted old. I basically ate chicken with rice very quick because I had no time to change it and 3 people did not realize any mistakes or poor performance in the food. There was enough staff and only 2 tables. My friend had a salad which looked a bit lonely. In summary leafs with sauce. Overall very sad performance to be honest. The restaurant is so cute but rather disappointing than appealing. This is the third time I was visiting and 3 times I went out disappointed. For me that's it, even if the place looks cute...

My partner and I went here on our first day in Cherngtalay. We ordered two juices, a salad and the fish and chips. Our juices and my salad came in a reasonable amount of time (about 20 minutes). However, my partners food took forever. I had already finished my food and juice and his food still did not come. We asked the guy who works the front counter where it was and he looked confused. After a while he said oh its about 2 minutes away. We waited another approximately 10 minutes until it finally arrived, after my partner waited almost an hour for his food. What made it worse was that the fish and the chips were cold. We just asked for the bill so we could go somewhere else for him to eat and waited for the change... which never came.
