Worst experience ever.(should be able to give a negative rating)
Simply a disaster, when commenting to the owner (bold guy) that the carbonara sauce was smelling to much of the smoked meat used he decided to teach us and give us a lecture of the true nature of this sauce and how it is properly made not the commercial style. Despite ignoring our request that it was ok he kept on telling that this is a very special style and they use the best of the best. instead of behaving like a good host and not even offering an alternative or just a simple sorry or we try to improve for the next time would have been sufficient enough. But his attitude stinks, he should have chosen a career where he doesn't need to interact with people.
People want to go to a restaurant to be served and have a good time not to be taught by the owner a lesson and indirectly implying that the guests are ignorants.
Wine selection of the reds what is available by glass ... (take a sip of balsamic it will be less acidic)
And don't sit outside it smells like real garbage water.
Make yourself a favour walk down the street in direction to the supermarket (just 3min away) and go to little paris for a joyful evening, amazing hosts that welcome you, look after you throughout your stay and make you feel like a VIP all the staff...
Read moreAs an Italian, I was hoping for a more refined experience, especially when it comes to the details.
Service: The staff was kind, but surprisingly slow — we had to wait quite a while just to get a bottle of water. Also, we weren’t even served a bread basket at the beginning — something that, in any truly authentic Italian restaurant, is brought out right away. I had to ask for it myself.
Food: I ordered the pasta all’Amatriciana. The sauce was too watery, and it was missing a key element: crispy guanciale. It would have also been nice to have some pecorino cheese available at the table. On the bright side, the meatballs with mashed potatoes were tasty and well-prepared.
Price: We were two people and spent 2,400 baht, which felt a bit overpriced considering the service and overall quality and city.
Positive notes: I appreciated the use of Muraglia olive oil, a nice touch, but unfortunately, the salt and pepper grinders on the table didn’t work. The wine list, however, was good and well-curated.
Personal tip: If you’re looking for a more authentic Italian experience in the area, I’d recommend Five Olives, Little Roma,...
Read moreI recently dined at Luca Cini and it was an amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a very warm welcome by the owner, Luca himself.
The menu offers a fantastic variety of authentic Italian dishes. We started with cold cuts with salad and burrata cheese (Burrata Luca Cini), which was fresh and bursting with flavour. For the main course, I had Tagliolini Gamberi e Zucchine and it was cooked to perfection, rich, savory, fresh prawns, and nicely presented.
We went back again and this time I had minestrone and it was delightfully delicious and I got the chance to sample Puttanesca from the owner, which is packed with strong umami flavour from all the fresh ingredients used.
The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we wanted without being intrusive.
Overall, Luca Cini offers a beautiful blend of delicious food, excellent service and a charming atmosphere. I can't wait to return and explore more...
